Phil Robertson, the patriarch of A&E's Duck Dynasty clan who was suspended from his hit reality series on Dec. 18 following some incendiary comments about gay people, won't be put on hiatus after all.

A&E managed to empty the stores of DD stuff right before Christmas.

I heard on the news that A&E is also going to run commercial spots that advocate “tolerance and understanding”. You know they’re not talking about tolerance and understanding for normal Americans.
No, they’re going to try to have their cake and eat it too by appeasing both sides of the divide. Guess what, A&E? It won’t work on us. I’m predicting that season five will have the lowest ratings of any season of Duck Dynasty.

Was the suspension just to appease the gays and not meant to be permanent?
A&E may welcome him back to save their bacon, but the attacks from the scummy perverts and God-haters will continue.

We should still keep the pressure on A&E and all their fellow PC-nazi travelers. They backed down because Robertson in wealthy. Let’s not forget what the GLAAD-type fascists are trying to do to bakers, photographers and churches who won’t go along with them.
They already were household names.
The ball is still in our court. If A&E puts PSAs like that during their show, we hammer the sponsors about it who will go back to A&E and tell them to knock it off.

As far as I can tell, yup—that’s what ended up happening. I bet the ratings for future episodes won’t be too shabby either, if that’s the way it breaks down.
Not that this story was unimportant, but it almost completely drowned out the stories about Utah and New Mexico. The Utah decision could be very well be the start of the end of state marriage amendments if it stands.

I would expect that a high % of Freepers are sharp about that like you, but someone was sure buying all that DD stuff, at least as far as I could tell.
