Nothing will ever come of this. I have reached a point, that I am so cynical, that there is not one single, solitary thing that anyone in government can do to restore my faith in it, not now, not ever. Sadly, I agree with you 100%.

You know.
I believe God sees this as WONDERFUL that folks have lost faith in “the government.” Because people placed faith in it that they never had business placing in the first place. (No pun intended.)
When an idol becomes implausible, then God rises on the candidate list for worship object.
