How do you win a Bronze Star? I guess the writer won the jackpot when he got the job.
How do you spend ten years in the military as a 2nd lieutenant?
A complete tragedy! Prayers for the family!
Could have spent 3 years enlisted then went to OCS.
Go up to Staff Sergeant as a medic, then go to OCS.
Verbal commands and a good tac light would have prevented this.
I can’t believe that it took TWO pixies from journalism school to write this piece of crap. The victim was “gunned down”? Gimme a break. Somebody has been watching to much TVLand.
How awful.
It’s just a natural reflex for them anymore to go into the vapors whenever a gun is involved.
It would have been so much acceptable to the writers it he had bashed her head in with a baseball bat as she climbed in the window
and perhaps checking your stepdaughter's room before grabbing the gun at 6:00 AM and remembering that you locked her out of the house the night before when she missed curfew.
I am sorry but nobody knows for certain what another person will or won’t do if you shoot them first.
This law is written in an incredibly assinine way, if it was explained correctly by the propagandist journalist.
depends if you’re in the military, McDonalds, or the 2nd grade.
I’m sure it is written in such a way as to assure prosecutorial involvement.
Enlisted so many years rising to at least an E-5 or higher - then was commissioned as an officer...2ndLT would be the first...
Did the idiot ask who was there?
If he knew his daughter was out, what, did he forget her name?
Sorry. Trigger happy moron. All for defending your property, but you start by yelling a warning at least.
Sad. RIP.
Not being there and knowing exactly what happened - prayers go out to this family and father...and I’m not relying on this article to tell the rest of us each and every detail...basically, I’m not judging the father in this tragedy off of this politically motivated article promoting the anti-gun position...
did he get it in a lottery?
I didn’t see where Mr. Meade had knowingly locked the 14 year old out of the house the night before.
