I didn’t see where Mr. Meade had knowingly locked the 14 year old out of the house the night before.

There was another incident (last year?) similar to this. A father shot his son when he was sneaking into his house. Dad didn’t know son was out.

This should be a lesson to offspring living at home with gun totting parents. Parents will protect their property. Parents sooner or later will find out offspring sneaked out of the house.
