Eat, and down as many Bacardi & Cokes as it takes to tolerate family members who I must entertain because it is a holiday.

I’ll try and get in as much family time as I can, but sadly, a big part of the Christmas season has become exerting great effort avoiding the crowds and commercialization. Why does it seem like there are four times as many people on the roads in the weeks running up to Christmas?

Christmas Eve, Some last-minute shopping, then hang out with the car club at the local Chick-Fil-A, still feels strange driving around this time of year with the top down ;) Christmas Day, We’ll be at home, invited a few relatives and friends for dinner. Merry Christmas to all!!

Forgot one key word there; “liberal” family members. Now you see the need for the rum.

Dinner with a whole family of Democrats.

Mercifully, we seldom discuss political issues or current events. We just eat. And eat. And eat.

Maybe you should go with your wife to work.
Plenty of Christmas spirit needed there.
Who knows, she might decide you are really a great guy.

Me?
I’m going to have Day dinner with my niece and family
then back home to feed my dogs and talk to my Freeper
family.

Merry Christmas Friend.

Sit around the hearth with kith and kin in our plaid onesies, drinking hot cocoa and talking about Barry and Nancy's "glorious" Christmas "miracle", ObamaCare. LOL!

Christmas Eve my two sons and I always order pizza and watch a movie together. My husband goes to his mother’s Christmas Eve party. This year the younger one is bringing his girlfriend so it’ll be different.

Christmas morning we eat a really big breakfast, which we don’t do any other morning, and then we are having tacos for dinner.

Since my sisters and mother moved south, holidays are quieter, which I don’t mind.

I look forward to the holidays being over and things returning to normal.

Working til 8 Christmas eve and then going to a 10PM Christmas service on the green, which looks like one of those little Christmas towns you can buy for your mantle - beautiful! Workng half day on Christmas and then spending the afternoon with my kids, roasting a chicken, eating and maybe watching “Bad Grandpa.” Merry Christmas to my fellow Freepers!!

Christmas eve service at church.
Let kids open one present that night.
When they are asleep, put the big stuff under the tree.
Try to sleep, though they’ll wake up early.
Clean up the mess, hopefully get picture in.
Christmas dinner with extended family.
Clean up.
Dr. Who Christmas special.
Go to bed Christmas with a lot of new memories.
