KY:Homeowner in Taylor County shot man trying to force his way into home

It happened just before midnight Saturday night. Deputies say Steven Christopher Followell went to a home and threatened the homeowner, forcing his way into the home.

Deputies say the homeowner shot Followell sometime during the altercation.

The intruder was drunk, and did not know the homeowner.

The comments say this happened right before Thanksgiving. I guess Mr. Followell, eventually followed too well. I had to say it.

The name reported in the article regarding the intruder is apparently an alias he uses; his real name is Shalen Christopher Followell, google that name and you will find other arrest for him. He was more than drunk from what I understand, he was growling at the homeowner and threated to kill the homeowner and his wife and child. Thank God For Our Right To Protect Our Homes and Families!!! It is un-telling what the intruder would have done to the homeowner and his family if he wasn't stopped.

My best guess is that it wasn't "sometime during the altercation." I guessing that it was very, very near the end of "the altercation."
