People hoping to gain health insurance through the new health care law by Jan. 1 now have an extra 24 hours to enroll, due to a quiet move by the Obama administration.
Government officials and contractors tweaked some software to make sure that anyone who enrolled by 11:59 p.m. on Christmas Eve still would still obtain coverage by the dawn of the new year, and insisted the deadline at least on paper is still today.
We recognize that many have chosen to make their final decisions on todays deadline and we are committed to making sure they can do so, said Julie Bataille, spokeswoman for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Anticipating high demand and the fact that consumers may be enrolling from multiple time zones, we have taken steps to make sure that those who select a plan through tomorrow will get coverage for Jan 1.

I think the principle should apply to the tax filing deadline as well. Let’s move that back a a week or two as well. You know, in case people don’t get to the post office in time or else the online filing system gets bogged down.

It'll soon be New Year's Eve...Then Easter, the 4th of July
They have to get by the elections before they reveal that this is an absolute failure....because whitey wouldn't come up with the loot.
So the next plan will be to change it and take it right out of your paycheck...just like Medicare...

Not sure if anyone is listening to Sean Hannity’s radio fill-in, but the current caller “Mike” who want’s to replace everyone’s health insurance with Obamacare “for our own good” is a complete moron.

And should the numbers still be flagging, because only total losers have nothing better to do on Christmas Eve than sign up, there’s always the next extension that he’ll announce on New Year’s Eve.
What a maroon.

Obama can do this for one and only one reason. That is that the Republicans will not stand together and refuse to fund Obamacare at all. The RINOs and their paymasters the insurance companies are still trying to make profits, or at least cut their losses.
If it weren't for the turncoats, US citizens would've supported the "shutdown" of the federal government, turned even more against Obama because of his infantile cuts.

Obama himself has set the precident that the ACA is just whatever the President says it is. So the next POTUS can just cancel it, or at least effectively cancel it.
Give everyone a waiver, and set the government offset to zero.
