NEW YORK (Reuters) - A federal appeals court on Sunday declined to stop officials in Utah from issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples following a judge's ruling last week that overturned the state's ban on gay marriage.

Reuters has that reputation—earned by their own record.No matter —the Judges who now favor same sex fraud— and polygamy Hate American Law and have rejected the fundamental law Yet they hold up an empty glass and proclaim This is the Law Honor it.
I was thinking along the same lines. The majority of the people of conservative Utah who have to witness this surreal spectacle - exultant gay and lesbian couples, in the local government buildings, getting their marriage papers and mugging for the Reuters and AP cameras - have to be teed off.
OK, so the reporters of the original Reuters article may have written their story from New York and followed the journalistic standard for datelines. But that in itself is a problem, because not only are New York and Salt Lake City 2,000 miles apart geographically, they are widely different culturally, especially with respect to the subject at hand. I would go so far as to suggest that Reuters' New York writers were chosen to do the initial story because it would be much more gay marriage friendly. So there were no "boots on the ground" for the original Reuters story, which is a major reason why it turned out as biased, inaccurate, and deceptive as it did.
I would be very surprised if Reuters has a correspondent in or anywhere near Salt Lake City. Internationally speaking, Utah isn't that important.
Reuters probably does have someone on the West Coast, however, but that likely would have generated a Los Angeles or some other California dateline.
This New York dateline on a Utah story may end up remaining a mystery that never gets answered because internal story assignment decisions generally don't get discussed because they're usually not interesting to readers.
But who knows? Free Republic being what it is, it wouldn't surprise me if some FOX News or Washington Times reporter shows this thread to a friend at Reuters and says, “Look at the debate you generated!”
That's the leftist mind set in a nutshell. It's just "flyover country," at least until some off-the-wall federal judge declares that a the state's ban on homosexual marriage is unconstitutional, which sends Reuters and most of their MSM colleagues into ecstasy, enough so that they feel they have to write a story from 2,000 miles away in New York.
Ironic that you mention polygamy, since Utah historically was the only state which had to agree to outlaw polygamy in order to be admitted to the Union.
The Utah gay marriage story is now the lead on usatoday.com., accompanied by a large photo of a pro gay "marriage" demonstration alleged to have 1,500 participants.
This kind of thing in Salt Lake City is almost as brazen the neo-Nazi march in Skokie, IL about 20 years ago, in terms of in-your-face provocation!
I imagine that Homosexual activists from around the country are headed there.
Don't forget that a single Obama appointed justice forced gay marriage on Utah.
You wont hear the MSM or the GOP pointing this out.
I saw a mini debate on MSNBC today on this where the moderator said to the ‘Republican’ :
“Well what will the GOP do now that conservative Utah has approved same-sex marriage?” and the Republican tried to change the subject rather than point out what really happened, a single Obama judge forced it on state.
Looks like the GOP has chosen the gay side.
My lesbian cousin made up special “Christmas” cards this year. They all have a picture of her and her “wife” getting married in Minnesota.
I was posting specifically about calling out Obama judges for forced rule imposing gay marriage.

Don't give up the fight against them! Support the Utah state government in their motion for a stay in the Tenth Circuit, and then in their appeal. My guess is there's a good chance that will be overturned. There is no precedent for a state ban on gay marriage to be ruled unconstitutional!
The people of the State Of California passed a ballot initiative Prop-8..which outlawed so called “gay” so called marriage some moons ago. It was ruled unconstitutional
