‘MUZZLED’: EPA Silenced Scientists that Challenged their Agenda

The Environmental Protection Agency silenced scientific advisers who expressed concerns over the agency’s proposed carbon dioxide emissions limits for coal-fired power plants, House Republicans claim.

Republicans on the House’s science committee wrote a letter to EPA administrator Gina McCarthy expressing concern that the agency ignored scientists charged with reviewing carbon emissions limits for new power plants. Scientists said that the agency rushed through the regulatory process and that the underlying science of the rule lacked adequate peer review.

“We are concerned about the agency’s apparent disregard for the concerns of its science advisors,” the Republican lawmakers wrote. “Science is a valuable tool to help policymakers navigate complex issues.”

“However, when inconvenient facts are disregarded or when dissenting voices are muzzled, a frank discussion becomes impossible,” the lawmakers continued. “The EPA cannot continue to rush ahead with costly regulations without allowing time for a real-world look at the science.”

It’s time to close the EPA.

So, what Representative’s brother, uncle, sister or other relative gets to do the “peer review” that the establishment Republicans are crying for?

I distrust them all with the exception of maybe two handfuls of individuals. Let it also be said that the EPA and the rest of the three letter acronym agencies need to go the way of the do-do bird.

Since the EPA is an enemy of the USA, why did the GOP vote for the Ryan/Murray budget that restored full funding to this anti-American agency after the sequester?

This most rancid part of Nixon’s progressive legacy should have been totally eliminated during Pres. Reagan’s era. But it is bigger and more anti-capitalist than ever under the First Dictator, and it is fully funded by Republicans in the House.

Way past time...

Like the IRS (and many other programs), the EPA was started with "good intentions". However, it has been corrupted and has morphed into a viscous tool to be used by the government to lock up dissent and enslave this country's resources, which includes its people.

This will not be pretty...

Who Pays The Piper - CALLS THE TUNE!

End Federal funding of research and leave that money in private hands.

Once, America had many sources of funding research, private sources.

Put Fedzilla back into the strict bounds of teh Constitution of face more ot this “scientific” bafflegab created on taxpayer funding.

The Gay agenda, racist whites because they resist Obama, global warming all are tyranny through political correctness. If you can’t discuss something, politics is at an end. Progressives are having trouble doing the same thing with Obamacare but it’s not for the lack of trying.

The only reason they delayed shutting down over 20% of coal plants the first time is because of the 2012 elections. Blackout would not have helped Obama get back in for 4 more disastrous years.

It’s time to close the EPA.

Don't close it; turn it over to the Greenies with the stipulation that they fund it themselves. It'll disappear overnight!
