DHS Complicit In Drug Cartel Human Trafficking
Investor's Business Daily ^ | December 21, 2013 | IBD EDITORIALS

Border: A federal judge finds that the Department of Homeland Security, instead of arresting cartel members and the clients who pay them to smuggle children into the U.S., helps the drug lords complete the transactions.

Former DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano once proclaimed the U.S. border to be as secure as it has ever been. Yet her department has been found by Judge Andrew S. Hanen of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas to have actively undermined that security by enabling drug cartels engaged in the lucrative smuggling of children.

The case before Judge Hanen — United States of America v. Mirtha Veronica Nava-Martinez — underscores the Obama administration's total disregard for the laws that the president swore to faithfully execute.

It also shows that the administration's cooperation with the cartels goes far beyond supplying them with assault weapons in Operation Fast and Furious.

As Breitbart.com has reported, the case involved Mirtha Veronica Nava-Martinez, an admitted human trafficker who came in contact with Patricia Elizabeth Salmeron Santos after she "solicited human traffickers to smuggle" Santos' daughter from El Salvador to her home in Virginia, according to Hanen.

Hanen said Santos "applied for a tourist visa in 2000, but was turned down," adding, "despite being denied legal entry into the United States, she entered the United States illegally and is living in Virginia." Santos hired Nava-Martinez and her smugglers for $8,500, paying them $6,000 upfront.

A journey of a thousand paces begins with a single footstep and the best footstep would on the head of that snake in the Oval Office. Impeach him and go after his cronies and create the kind of exposition NO media organ can ignore and his goose is cooked and America is once more heading in the right direction.

He has been pretty much discredited with the millenials who helped put him in office and his popularity is at a record low for any President.

The GOP just has to play its chess game very very carefully at this point.

Senator Johnson from Wisconsin was on Larry Cudloe this morning and he laid out a very good GOP alternate to Obamacare, offering coverage to everybody under a free market system. At least some GOPers are thinking right.

DON’T abandon hope for America. Its greater than the monsters threatening it like the Obamabastard.

No. The real problem is not the Obamabastard but the people who helped put him in power - twice.

Thanks for posting. I think that article fits right in with the picture painted below...

Fast and Furious etc. is state-sponsored terrorism.

On this side of the border it's violations of the RICO Act. In Mexico and Honduras it's state-sponsored terrorism.

What else would you call heavily arming international criminal syndicates within a foreign country wherein that country is in a death struggle with those syndicates?

Especially when it goes beyond thousands of assault rifles to include grenades, RPGs, shoulder fired rockets, anti-aircraft guns, night vision equipment, body armor and special deals to bring their drugs onto our soil with legal impunity?

Not to mention that the rip crew that killed BP Agent Brian Terry was there with DEA and FBI assistance and approval to attack and kill a rival cartel's smuggling crew.

Let's not leave out the DEA laundering millions of dollars for the drug cartels by setting up bank accounts for them that they otherwise couldn't do.

It's organized, it is spread through every Federal LEA and it violates numerous domestic laws and numerous statutes and treaties that deal with foreign nations. Yet none of it has been officially sanctioned. It's the FedGov acting like mafiosa.

0bama, Holder and Hillary Clinton are all deeply involved in this and it is state-sponsored terrorism. These criminal thugs are dragging our country down to the level of Tehran and Pyongyang.

Of course, friend.

LOL. I thought you were just being snarky. I'd almost be willing to pay money for an article in the NYT about this.
