SHORT HILLS, N.J. – Four people are in custody in connection with a deadly carjacking outside an upscale mall in northern New Jersey that left a lawyer dead after two men shot him as he reportedly tried to protect his wife, authorities said early Saturday.
Katherine Carter, a spokeswoman for the Essex County prosecutor's office, did not provide details or elaborate on the arrests, but said additional information will be released at a news conference Saturday morning, according to The New York Post.
Dustin Friedland, 30, was shot in the head Sunday night in front of his wife in the parking garage of The Mall at Short Hills, about 10 miles west of Newark, after being confronted by two carjackers.
His car, a Range Rover, was discovered the next morning in Newark. A reward of more than $40,000 was being offered for information leading to the arrest of the killers.

I was praying that they quickly nab the dirty cretins. This story has made me angry with un-christian thoughts of applying methods of justice.
What exactly is un-Christian about an eye for an eye? Just give them a fair trial and hang them immediately in front of the courthouse for all their “he was a good boy” homies to see first hand.

Every article on this story invariably mentions the victim’s car is a Range Rover. Am I reading too much into some kind of media bias here? Are the journalists not implicitly and remotely suggesting the wealthy one-percenter deserved it?
The lack of a description is disgusting. It led some non-NJeans to assume it was a mafia hit. After all, in the land of the Sopranos, the only murders are done by the mob, lol!
Why are descriptions being withheld? Are they afraid rich white people are going to run amok at the Short Hills Mall?

What has been conspicuously absent is any description of the suspects, which they were so desperately trying to find. I mean they had surveillance footage and an eyewitness (the widow) but I've yet to hear a usable description of the perps. I suspect Amish mafia (/sarc).
I’d bet money at least 2 of them have names that aren’t pronounceable.
Obviously, their upcoming sentencing would be much harsher if the victim drove a 2001 Town and Country with a dent and peeling paint, because class envy and disparity of income would not be a mitigating circumstance in that case.

This is a very good analogy. If you want to get a liberal absolutely rabid and foaming at the mouth, try the above line and then hit them with this story.

The immediate concern is that they probably don’t want potential shoppers realizing that the unassimilated minorities may kill you (or even rub elbows with you) at this mall. The long-term issue is that they don’t want people to realize how these young minorities have been indoctrinated with such hate (similar to the programming of Germans in the 1930s) to the point where their victims aren’t even human.
