Phil Robertson disrespected gay employees at A&E ... and THAT'S why he was sacked from "Duck Dynasty" ... sources connected with the network tell TMZ.
We're told A&E CEO Nancy Dubuc felt she could not in good conscience ask gay employees to kill themselves for a show when he disrespected them by calling them sinners.
Our sources say ... gay employees involved in the production -- and there are a number of them -- were outraged by Phil's comments to GQ and wanted Dubuc to give him the ax.
We're told Dubuc felt this way ... If Phil had made similar comments about African Americans or Jews ... there would have been a public outcry for his head. She felt it was just plain wrong not to have the same sense of indignation when the comments were directed at gays.
Our sources say GLAAD was heavily involved in lobbying the network to 86 Phil, and they had an impact.

My sense is that GLAAD really does have their sticky fingers all over this issue and is stoking the flames.

So Gays can say whatever they want about whoever...and it’s okay - but some Christian on a highly watched TV show states what others of his faith know and believe and the 86 him...seems like GLAAD wants tolerance to go one direction favoring them...Let them cancel the show - all the money that comes in from merchandise and let GLAAD pick up the bill and pay A&E for their lost of revenue!

Hmmmm. Don't remember anywhere in the bible where it says if you're African American or Jewish that you're not going to inherit the Kingdom of God. Must have missed that part.

The Civil Rights act of 1964 prohibits employers from discriminating against their employees on the basis of their religious beliefs.

I remember what happened after Prop 8 in California. I have no sympathy for Nancy Dubuc.

Always pay attention to the parent companies. For example, Comcast and GE once promoted pissing in Sarah Palin’s mouth by virtue of a host both companies delayed to fire.

I don’t think for one moment that A&E’s gays care one iota about what Phil thinks. If they did, they wouldn’t be working on his show in the first place.
GLAAD wants to make an issue out of this.
This is the frontline of the culture wars.
Nancy Dubuc is the person who turned the once great History Channel into a station that peddles a bunch of anti-historical crap.
So instead of killing themselves for a show they may now possibly be unemployed. It’s so nice of A&E CEO Nancy Dubuc to look after her employees like that.
After Googling Nancy Duboc, I can see she is an activist for gay causes.
She should be forced to come forward and admit she has an agenda as well.
She can look for sympathy in the dictionary. It’s right between sh*t and syphilis.
