Continuing the White House rhetoric that young people arent invincible, First Lady Michelle Obama provided more reasons millennials should sign up for Obamacare: in case they slip at a club or cut a finger while cooking for the first time.
The Rev. Al Sharpton interviewed FLOTUS about her husbands healthcare law in a pre-recorded interview that aired on his radio show Thursday. The First Lady told the MSNBC host that getting young people signed up was an important goal of Obamacare outreach.
We need young people signed up too for this, because its not just about moms and babies, its about young people who feel invincible, right? she told Sharpton, according to a transcript.
She then went on to give reasons millennials might need health coverage.
Well, young people are the ones who are driving around late at night, you know, that can get into a car accident, or slip at a club, you know? she said. Who play pick-up games and to get a black eye, you know? Cooking for the first time and cut a finger, and you know, bust an artery, you know?
Earlier this month, at a youth summit hosted by the White House, a former Obama 2008 campaign staffer told young people they should sign up for the Affordable Care Act so theyre covered if they break an arm at a YOLO party.
Mrs. Obama also told Sharpton on Thursday that young people owe it to their family members to sign up for Obamacare, thereby providing their mothers with peace of mind.
You know, young people arent just living out there on their own, if they get sick and cant afford it, whos going to have to come in and clean up that financial mess but the parents and grandparents who care about them, FLOTUS added.
President Barack Obama argued the same point this month, attempting to guilt young people into buying into Obamacare.
I need to watch that interview. Two intellectual giants such as this speaking together... just WOW!
There are arteries in fingers?
Any dog in America is in better touch with the real America than these evil pukes.
I have a papercut and my deductible is only $10G’s thank you ObamaCare. That was one expensive band-aid!

She is on crack.
My insurance plan if I had to buy from obamacare is minimum is $10,600 before I get “free” healthcare. I would not be able to choose the doctor or hospital and if I am out of the county, not country!! I am not covered at all!
Uh...yeah doc...I got a black eye. Uh...can you fix it?
good thing these people would never stage a “terrorist” attack causing many young people to be hurt and maimed. That would teach ‘em to go “uncovered”.
I joined the Marine Corps - my parents only had to worry about me getting killed in Nam!
... which requires people, when they enroll in it, to provide their name, address, and SSN which the Almighty Rev, when it comes to voting, described ad nauseam as discrimination, disenfranchisement, and any other dis you care to name.
What a fraud.
Driving around late at night indeed...it’s not like they have to go to work in the morning! 7% unemployment is apparently the “new normal”. Whoopee!!! /s
You know??
Or have an abortion go seriously wrong...
Yeah Michelle, we know.
Cut a finger? Slip at a club? Madame Zero, how about if your parachute fails to open while skydiving? Does Ocare covers that?
The first dingbat (may she stifle herself).
Remember. Signing up for ObamaCare is a lot cheaper than going to Walmart to buy a box of Band Aids and a tube of Ben Gay. You can use the $2500 you’re going to save to buy some plaid onesies and a box of cocoa.
And Candice Bergen's reaction to Mainway matches mine to the Obama's Chrismas oversell: Well, this is certainly a very sad situation. One of the precious joys of Christmas warped by a ruthless profiteer like yourself.
So I’m going to spend $1000 a month for Health insurance in case I cut my finger or sprain my ankle. And with a $5000 deductible I’d have to have 5 emergency room visits before I can expect the insurance company to start paying their 80%.
