The state of California just approved a $34.7-million tax break for electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors to expand the company’s production capability by another 35,000 additional units per year.

As a result, Tesla will be exempt from paying sales and use taxes on its planned purchase of $415 million in new manufacturing equipment, which California estimates will result in a $24-million economic boon to the state’s economy.

That’s California for you! They’ll spend $34 million to get back $24 million! And they wonder why they’re in trouble.

So California paid $34.7 million to get a $24 million “economic boon”? Sounds like they got one heck of a deal.

So the administration is artificially engineering the economy, making it harder for other companies that don’t agree with their political agena to compete. Who would have expected that?

Because the state of taxifornia is doing so damn well! You just can’t beat liberal logic, drive business and jobs out of the sate, make the state a safe haven for illegal immigrants and allow them to leach off the few taxpayers left and oh, yeah give big subsidies to companies producing technology that is worthless for average taxifornians.

The people who aren't learning are those who call them stupid. They aren't stupid, they know eactly what they are doing. And each lying liberal knows what they are doing - they are getting paid off, one way or another, for supporting and enabling and protecting this madness.

You might say they are stupid in the long run, when their masters turn on them. That is definitely true. But in the short run, they are very aware of what they are doing. They ust figure that in the end, when the world is turned into Auschwitz, they will be protected because they help tear down civilization.

History proves their assumptions wrong - unanimously wrong.

Uh, just a reality check here.

The state of Washington is falling all over itself to subsidize Boeing to the tune of billions. Boeing has something like 14 states in a bidding war for the 777X plant. An $80 billion a year company doesn’t need the cash, but that’s what they’re doing.

The states of Alabama and South Carolina gave all sorts of breaks and incentives to Mercedes Benz, BMW and Hyundai to move plants there, and those companies didn’t exactly need the money.

There is no doubt that Jerry Brown and the Rats are favoring Musk and Tesla, but he is building what they favor.

And I’m all for American manufacturing, and maybe the lesson that high taxes kill American manufacturing might be learned here.

The Rats in California are guilty of a lot of horrific crap but this is no different from what virtually all the states are doing now.

I saw an advertisement the other day for the State of New York - yeah that rat infested state in the NorthEast- that they were offering 10 year tax-free incentives for NEW BUSINESS. So they know that lowers taxes increases business. But that is far down that road they wish to go.
