Resisting Immigration Reform [identity politics]
National Review Online ^ | December 17, 2013 | Victor Davis Hanson

Posted on 12/17/2013 2:02:34 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

"..........The incoherent message of far too many open-borders advocates distills down to little more than this: “Millions have fled Mexico to America — historically an insensitive, racist and unfair place. Yet it nonetheless must extend amnesty to millions of Mexican nationals who prefer the morally suspect United States over their native Latino culture in Mexico.”

What the immigration debate is not about is ensuring that illegal immigration ends and that legal immigration becomes liberal, meritocratic, and ethnically blind.

Remember that, and all the absurd rhetoric of the upcoming 2014 debate will make sense.

Shamnesty is only alive in the GOP because of cheap labor, cheap tarts, and the Bushies.

We're led to believe that currently living in the US are roughly 11 million Mexicans, and other illegals, who gather at the Mexican border to stroll into the US (including swarthy terrorists who pass themselves off as latino)....

INCONVENIENT FACTOID These numbers are invented for political purposes. Mexico and the Third World are pushing North at a a furious pace--can't wait to get their greedy hands on US foreign aid and get back the Southwest.

This is nothing more than flagrant agit-prop from political pressure groups. The so-called "fleeing to the safety of the US" is nothing more than an invasion of America-hating foreigners pushing their Third World agenda----vile, repugnant "ethnic solidarity" rearing its ugly head.

Keep in mind, these scam artists are intent on building a Third World on US soil using our tax dollars---they want to relegate born-Americans to third class status.

That ain't gonna happen.

=======================================================

THIRD WORLD'S GOT B-I-G PLANS---AMNESTY IS ONLY THE BEGINNING : "Once Congress approves an immigration increase, minorities should demand more, said Cong Gutierrez (Dim-Third World), a leading advocate of the Senate bill giveaway.

“The next day after we pass it, you know we’re not going to be satisfied, we’re going to come back,” he said. “We’re going to have a civil rights act, we’re going to have a voting rights act… Nobody is leaving this fight once we conclude this first chapter,” he said. "Hopefully, in 30 years, [we] can bring immigrants… from all over the world,” Gutierrez said.

==============================================

WHO BELIEVES ANYTHING OBAMA SAYS? So far, Obama’s deputies say they have granted the two-year “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” amnesty to at least 567,563 illegals, giving them the right to get jobs in every state, get drivers’ licenses in some states, to enroll in school and to receive government aid. Only 21,162 illegals have been rejected.

And that includes how many identities?

I rarely post vanities on FreeRepublic perhaps because I can remember so well the reaction I received to my very first which complained of George Bush's immigration policy-or lack thereof, or at least the lack of enforcement of whatever policy was in place. In those days George W. Bush was associated with the conservative movement in the public mind.

Since then I have been pondering what it was that so influenced and enfeebled the Bushes, not just George W. But George H. W. And brother Jeb when it came to enforcing immigration laws. Aware that George Bush had a Mexican nanny, I assumed for a time that it was a kind of an emotional attachment much like Winston Churchill felt for his nanny when he was a child and as a young adult in the absence of what we 20 and 21st century middle-class people understand to be maternal presence.

I am not unaware that Jeb married a Mexican and, therefore, familial ties could not fail to play a part.

I also considered George Bush's christian character and speculated that it was his commitment to loving his neighbor according to the dictate of Christ which prompted him to refrain from enforcing the border.

Additionally, it was not inconceivable that the bushes are so phobic about being accused of being racist, or even flirting with racism in any way, which made him stay his hand and fail to comply with his oath to see that the laws were faithfully executed.

Lately, the nexus between the Republican Party and the business interests who want cheap labor has been emphasized and it is quite possible that this political consideration motivated Bush.

I believe I have at one time or another publicly speculated in replies about every one of these possibilities yet I remain as ignorant as when I started about why it is that George Bush in failing to shut the border and failing to enforce laws against employers hiring illegal aliens, had by his past passivity presided over the creation of a critical mass of illegal aliens and anchor babies in our midst which now makes them politically toxic to deal with. If Bush had acted quietly and effectively we would not be so compromised today.

Whatever the reason, if amnesty is imposed upon us and a new wave of aliens makes their way to the polls in about two election cycles, conservatism will be extinguished in America. I am coming more and more to the belief that the fate of the Republican Party and more especially especially the fate of Ronald Reagan's conservative movement are matters of no concern to the Bush family. They are motivated by religion, fraternity, family, noblesse oblige, patriotism, and good intentions. Indeed, they regard partisanship as something smarmy and the enemy of good government. Against these personal but "nobler" values the wreckage of the conservative movement is of no consequence to them.

Gov. Perry would have fought human trafficking, drug cartels and sealed the border.

But then Rick Perry and the Bushes did not get along.

You lay the fault of Bush on good motives.

Perhaps his motives were good, maybe he just worked for the corporations who wanted cheap labor.

Do his motives really matter?

Look at the mess he made.

Newt was on with Sean yesterday and he was saying that the gop big money donors hate us... a deep seething hatred of having to be in a party with regular working people that believe in GOD, right and wrong and putting what is right before profit. They are the elite... and they control boner and the leadership. Money can buy power because mcconnell and boehner are bought and paid for by corporatist whores... and newt should know better than anyone. He had to go seeking funding from them and he has first hand knowledge.

With 80% initial (2009) polled voter opposition to Obamacare, and 73 % polled voter opposition to Obamacare now, Boehner-Cantor-Ryan rammed through the Ryan-Murray “Compromise” Bill to finance “The Law of the Land” Marxist Obamacare Bill for the next two years!

Only 94 House members stood and delivered opposition to this cave-in bill, thus insuring TWO MORE YEARS of Obamanation Crisis Economics to burden us voters with!

The 2014 Election needs to be about ridding the US House from the RINOs who caved-in on this bill, as we cannot trust them ever again to protect us from the Marxist Senate, Marxist Supreme Court, or Marxist Administration.

On the Democrat side, you Lurkers need to be honest with yourselves concerning continuing your loyalty to your Marxist Democrats and Marxist Progressives in the US House and Senate.

FYI, a Marxist is anyone who believes in “Income Redistribution.”

Income Redistribution is just the PC term for what Karl Marx advocated:
“FROM EACH ACCORDING TO HIS ABILITY, TO EACH ACCORDING TO HIS NEED.”

Ethnically blind? That's a joke right? Except the joke is on us.

"… maybe he just worked for the corporations who wanted cheap labor."

That is one of the possibilities which I cited.

"Do his motives really matter?"

Yes and in more than a merely academic way. If you understand what motivates the president, or Rinos in general, or even leftists you are good part of the way toward turning the key in the direction you want. A medical researcher does not content himself was looking at the ravages of the disease, he wants to understand its make up so that he can find its Achilles' heel. We should do the same for ideological sickness.

IMHO the big thing driving amnesty is that immigration to the US acts as a safety valve on the revolutionary propensities of Mexico and Central America.

Being able to offload their underclasses, particulary young able bodied and most importantly idle, men, removes what could be the rank and file members of movements that would undermine and overthrow the establishment governments there. Much in the same way that Europe offloaded it’s underclasses onto the US (and in England’s case Australia as well) in the 19th century.

Of course no one in power will ever actually acknowlege that ...

One thing on Obamacare.

How do you think a person would feel if he were in the hospital on December 31st. and his Insurance was to be cancelled next morning?
