I don’t doubt that he believed that Jesus Christ was the Son of God who was crucified and resurrected, he was a Christian man. He certainly got carried away with the attempted prophesy, though. I’ll take the high road and say that he meant well, however wrongheaded it invariably turned out to be.
I think he finally got the idea that whatever was whispering these doom prophecies to him, was lying. That’s how God showed him, graciously, that he was wrong.
