Our Bored President
The American Thinker ^ | 12-16-13 | Ed Lasky

Valerie Jarrett, Obama's Rasputin, unwittingly provided us an answer to the question of why the Obama Presidency is such a man-caused disaster.

There are few people who are close to the notoriously insular Barack Obama (a former aide, Neera Tanden, said that "Obama doesn't call anyone, and he's not close to almost anyone. It's stunning that he's in politics, because he really doesn't like people") but Valerie Jarrett is among the select few. They have been friends for decades; she introduced Barack to Michelle; she is a constant presence in the White House, and highly unusual for a White House aide, enjoys her own Secret Service protective detail. And when she described Barack Obama as having been "bored to death his whole life" she helped explained what lies behind a failed presidency.

People familiar with Barack Obama's history realize he has a very low threshold for boredom. This is a trait shared by many millennials: they bore easily, and that character flaw is one reason employers refrain from hiring them. Yet they feel entitled to promotions as a way for others to display gratitude towards them and to give them an ego booster shot. They want to be stimulated and entertained all the time and find work tedious and...boring.

Obama's boredom began early.

When interviewed upon becoming the first black Harvard Law Review President he told the Associated Press, "I'm not interested in the suburbs. The suburbs bore me"; by inference, suburbanites bore him, as well -- and we know how he feels about small-town Americans). Ah...to be jaded and judgmental so early in life and to feel free to spout stereotypes.

He got the biggest ‘participation trophy’ever handed out just for showing up.

The only thing that really interests him is the platinum EBT card that comes with the job.

The final result of the every child must win a participation ribbon.

This result I wholly blame on the ‘self-esteem’ movement. When no wins or loses, it stifles all creativity, curiosity, and creates an excess of the ego. The result is the narcissism of the adult child.

BUT...I will also dare to take this one step further. This is also the result of handing people, in the case of 0bama, a minority every entitlement he held his hand out for.

In the grander context consider his recent, ‘no negotiation’ stance over the budget/debt etc. The man has never been told, “No,” and as president he wields his adult temper tantrums to the detriment of the nation.

Boredom? Boredom you say? No, it is the dysfunction of an over indulged adult man-child. In fact, one might diagnosis him with affluenza. the ...lack of motivation experienced by people who have made or inherited large amounts of money ... or dare I say people who have had everything in life handed to them.

Here's your bored president----looking for something to do?

He obviously does not see himself as president of a thriving republic of freedom-loving citizens----in his befuddled mind he represents self-made victims, slackers, do-nothings, layabeds, gutter snipes, welchers, and other social misfits.

Obama's latest---his stupid "income inequality” whine is part and parcel of progressives' greed/envy/entitlement stupidity---the Pay-Me-I'm-A-Victim scam. More akin to a dirt-poor Third World satrap than a thriving republic ruled by laws and market forces.

Obama can't seem to rise above his inane "community organizer" mentality. When he was crawling around the nabe preaching envy and greed----duping people on food stamps into believing they could payoff mortgages (ne'er do wells who taxpayers were forced to bail out).

Addicting people to government handouts is the "community organizer's" con game--to get votes--buying loyalty w/ other people's tax dollars.

After listening to Biden during a committee hearing, Obama passed a note to Gibbs that read "Shoot me now".

Ha! Finally me and Zero agree on something!

Jarrett is probably the only person known to the public who knows Obama’s real identity and the identity of those who prepped him and manipulated him into the presidency.

Gibbs had his chance.

Now the entire country suffers because of his inaction.

Obama is the yin to Reagan's yang.

No, Reagan was the yin to Carter's yang, and now we will have the next Reagan for Obama’s sins.

He’s not bored, he’s frightened and is covering up. Putin knows what Obama is. Obama knows he’s in over his head. He’s just playing a part, and he’s scared to death that everyone is going to find out.
