is this the first time the dems have boxed us into a no win corner? Hell No and won't be the last. Its all political strategy and we constantly lose.

The Reps wanted to be boxed in or at least portray the choices that way. The Reps could have just passed a clean CR, which would have kept the entire sequester in place. Instead, the Reps caved so they could allocate more money to defense. The Dems received a one to one increase in spending for domestic spending. The sequester was intended by the WH to cause pain and the split of the cuts was made between defense and domestic spending to make sure that the sequester would be lifted. Both parties support Big Government and big spending. This deal is just more smoke and mirrors to deceive the public.

Paur Ryans’ comments regarding the need for Republican control of the House, Senate and presidency before they can “accomplish” any positive changes leaves me very cold.

I no longer trust the Republicans. THe Buss II years were a tremendous disappointment. I will vote for NON-incumbent in upcoming primaries in early March.

Great post Tom the war on rinos needs to continue every bit as much as the war on socialism/communism we wage against the demoncrats.

The sad thing is that the regime may try and lay all the blame on the failure of zero care on the insurance companies and if you are right which you usally are, they may succeed.

What choice did the insurance industry have? The law was going to be passed and they were going to be the vehicles to destroy themselves in the end. The original plan was for Nationalized HC, but even the Dems couldn’t buy into that, so they went with the mandatory method.

Same with Medicare, they could play along or die; some choice. They do all the claim processing and are allowed to sell supplement plans.

It is easy to bash the insurance industry, just like banking we have to sever the regulations.

The insurance companies are willing partners. As long as the government keeps its promise to bail them out on any losses, they will gladly keep their mouths shut and accept the blame. They will gladly play the bad cop to Obama’s good cop as long as they get paid.

The GOPe is intent on political suicide. Throwing Obama a lifeline with immigration reform will ensure that they lose the 2014 midterms and divide the party to such an extent that a third party will emerge. In the meantime, Obama continues with his backdoor amnesty and creating his own immigration reform thru unconstitutional Executive Orders.

You just touched on my biggest fear that boner will take up immigration(amnesty)and we will once again snatch defeat while as of right now we have sure victory.

I still see it all as political strategy both short term, long term and as it occurs. We seem to lose at every turn.

Well put Kabar.

The insurance industry are rent seekers, like most large organizations / corporations. They made their bed and we shall see what that will lead to.

If we start to see “Pay for service” start to take hold with Doctors, this will lead to some interesting developments in the Hospitals. Eliminations, bankruptcies, mini surgery centers? This could inadvertently lead to a Capitalist medical revolution

Excellant post!

My doggie had to play in the mud with her friends, then a bath with Aveeno Oatmeal Bath and body wash....now resting comofrtable in MY place on the sofa. ha.

If there is something WORSE than listening to John Kerry drone on about Vietnam is having Radditz nasal twang interview him...This should be Torture used in Quantanoma.

The continuing face of John kerry really tests my belief that God will deal with the unjust and evil. Now Kerry is talking about “suffering” quoting the Bible...well, he sure knows as he was wounded in Vietnam, even had a band aid !

these sunday shows are more and more just a Lib banal lovefest.

FACE THE NATION (CBS): Dick Durbin, D-Ill.

Actually delusional how these folks talk about the TEA Party.

Simple as this, You are dumb if you vote for the budgets where outflows exceed the inflows.

Exactly! Its that slimy, deceitful, hidden under the covers type of legislation that gives dc the names they deserve.
Perhaps the worst part according to Mark Levin is the fact that spending bills now in the Senate only require simple majorities to get through! How the(expletive deleted) did that happen?

In just a few weeks tens of thousands of the most ill citizens in our nation, those in the high risk pools eliminated by Comrade Obama and the Demoviks, will lose their access to specialist doctors, hospitals, clinics, therapies, even medications...

No problem. Obama can delay those aspects of the law until after the elections. Our hero!

You just touched on my biggest fear that boner will take up immigration(amnesty)and we will once again snatch defeat while as of right now we have sure victory.

Your fears are well-founded. The GOPe wants an increase in the guest worker programs to meet the demands of their corporate paymasters. They will use amnesty as a bargaining chip to get that done. Boehner, Cantor, Goodlatte, Pete Sessions, McCarthy, Issa, and others are all on-board for immigration reform this session of Congress.

They will pass piecemeal bills on guest workers, border security, a GOP version of the Dream Act, and employer verification. They will be sent to the Senate, which will pair it with the Gang of 8 bill and then go to conference where a bill will emerge that resembles the Gang of 8 bill. This will pass with 25 to 50 GOPs in the House voting for it along with the Dems. It has been the strategy all along.

The GOPe underestimates the impact it will have on the base. They believe conservatives have nowhere else to go. They will be surprised. This could be the issue that takes the GOP down and results in a third party movement. Count me in if they pass comprehensive immigration reform. There is no benefit to having a Rep controlled House or Senate. The GOP is not called the Stupid Party for nothing.

Yep, the marketplace will develop its own healthcare delivery system. We will have two tiered system--one for those who have the money to afford it and another for the great unwashed. In terms of quality the former will be far superior to the latter.

I hate to say it but when you let the regime, any regime, just do whatever they want, whenever they want and don't even try to impeach them or challenge them this is where it ends.

Intimdation, Hawaiian health director dying in mysterious plane crash, death threats to any who opposes the regime, supreme court justices declaring laws legal because they have been blackmailed, destruction of fbi, cia, military officers, you name,it. No one will stand up to these bastards.

They feel empowered to do anything and always double down on whatever they do.
