“We can argue that the law is moot”

HA! How can they claim otherwise when they are busy dismantling the “law of the land” by executive orders, exemptions, talking points, and regulations??

I would like to see o care in a graphic — a puzzle, with all the pieces missing because they are not there at all [such as the payment system], are working only sub-standard (such as the back end to the insurers and the web-site which they should NOT be operating without security!), waived, postponed, retracted by order or regulation, etc.

That would show to the naked eye what if anything of the law IS operating AS legislated.

Yes, other options. One reason the insurance system got so convoluted is precisely that businesses could take the deduction, and individuals cannot. THAT needs to go. Either no one gets the deduction, or everyone does.

More MSAs, catastrophic insurance, etc.

I know some liberals who have money stashed and pretend they’re poor. The husband is getting life extending treatment at hospitals that are left out of the exchanges and will no longer accept medicaid. It’ll be hard not to laugh when they realize Palin was right about the death panels.

The insurance companies were coconspirators from the get go.

Meanwhile, we have been harping about the website for months now. That was a rope a dope to divert our attention. The real issue is there is no insurance, either one cannot pay for their insurance or with the deductables there is almost no insurance if one actually gets on. The loser GOP is figuring the thing will fall apart under its own weight. What is being dismissed is it cannot fall apart because Obongo has put the entire federal treasury and its borrowing authority behind making it work even if he has to BK the US further. The most resent example is his illegal promise to make the insurance companies whole. Wow, this is like playing poker against a card shark with someone saying regardless of how much you lose, I will reimburse you plus pay you to play.

If the republicans would stand up and scream that what he’s doing is illegal, maybe the insurance companies would stand up and yell “Go to hell, obama!”

Brilliant. I'd like to help develop and support an urban TEA Party group - one that would reach out to urban [minority] communities with basic ideas about liberty and poverty.

How is this different than a “special agent” with the Federal Department of Eating walking into a restaurant and telling the management that the four tables on the left and the two along the back wall couldn’t be charged for their meals.

The very “special agent” then tells management that they can raise the price to other diners to make up for the loss. “But,” the “special agent” goes on to say, “I really would not advise you to do that.”

If an individual does not have the “right” to take something from a fellow citizen, neither does the government have that “right.”

The only way the government can afford to bail out the insurance companies, and thereby pay every American’s medical costs, is to raise taxes by an extraordinary amount — something that Congress would never agree to.

So, under ObamaCare, either the insurance companies will go bankrupt alone because their premiums are not sufficient to cover doctors and hospital services, or, if the government chooses to bail out the insurance companies without raising taxes, both the government and the insurance companies will go bankrupt together because the government won’t be able to cover bailing out the insurance companies.

The alternative to these horrors is simply repealing ObamaCare. However, Harry Reid will never allow that to happen until the situation is so dire he’ll have no alternative. So, it’s once more unto the breach, Republicans, but not yet.

Yes, all I see is the Obama admin stoking the backlash by using more lawless decrees to cover up this mess. I think they are past the point of responsible compromise which could buy them more time in the court of public opinion.

I wrote some time ago about the necessity for there having been an under-the-table promise. We all know the insurance companies were supporting deathcare on the promise they were going to get 30 million new customers. And they had to know the Kenyan really wanted National health care. But even if that happens somebody, somebody as large as all the existing insurance companies put together, would be needed to run it. And with the Kenyan promising no losses the rest of the promise has to be that the companies would each get a piece of the “administering.” That’s also why AARP likes it.

I don’t believe the Kenyan has a clear path laid out to get from deathcare to nathealthcare and all those dim voters who supported this krap are in for some real heartburn. Maybe they can use those obamaphones to stop the bleeding-—just strap it on to an owie and wait for it to heal.

Everything is corrupted by “Crony capitalism”. They were likely assured of perpetual bailouts (see AIG, Wall Street etc) and premium subsidies.

They disgustingly supported ObamaCare because it forced everyone to buy health insurance, of course they also may have had to wait until the RATs “passed it so they could see what’s in it”.

I’m not sure which is worse:

1) The surety of knowing that our stalwarts in Congress (Boehner, McConnell) would cave into Obamas demands or

2) That Obama knows they’d cave and isn’t doing it anyway just because it’d look bad if he did

IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE ARMAGEDDON

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
Bama’s still squatting in the White Hut;
Uses a teleprompter so well, it’s Jarrett can’t you tell
Soros and globalists like the show.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
Hurtling over the fiscal cliff;
Michelle’s spending all she can, while still blaming the white man
Liberal fascism for sure.

Well there’s commies n muzzies n Benghazi but no worries says the propaganda press ministry of spin;

Ayers n Davis Black Panthers n Operation Furious Solyndra don’t forget Cloward Piven;

And the ruling class of corrupt Congress hacks are giddy all over again.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
Bama’s still squatting in the White Hut;
No birth documents to show, the Usurpers gotta go
Reggie Love is waiting under the mistletoe (oh no!).

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
ObambiCare they say is the “law of the land”;
Justice Roberts violated his oath, Barry Soetoro still smokes
And our troops keep dying in ‘Stan.

In 1938 Czechoslovakia was forced into an annexation of their most defensible territory to avoid war with Germany. They would have been better off to refuse the agreement, expel all ethnic Germans from the Sudetenland, and fight it out right then and there. They wound up losing their country the following year anyway. They would have at least been able to bloody the Nazis badly, and gone down like lions, rather than lambs had they defended themselves when they could.

Everyone ignore my last post! I do think cherokee1 has it right. The insurance companies don’t want to fight. They’ve been assured that each of a handful of big companies will become regional administrators of the coming National Healthcare System. Of course, like at Munich in 1938, the “last territorial demand” will prove to be a lie, and the private insurance companies will be dissolved, with their functions transferred to the new HSA, modeled after the TSA, but by then it will be too late.

Obamacare or "the Un-affordable Healthcare Act" is not law as the president and his minions contend.

Law is passed within the parameters of established government

Obamacare is extortion and nothing more,

there was absolutly no justification for the federal government to hijack the healthcare industry to steal money it did not earn, anymore than it would be to seize the auto insurance industry for profit.

The SCOTUS wants to call it a "tax" but that is a stretch because they know it is extortion and they are complicit also.
