Peshawar, the Provincial doctors association has ended their protest after meeting with chief minister Khyber Pukhtoonkhawa Parvez Khattak. The announcement comes after a meeting in chief minister house on Saturday night.
According to the detail groups of the doctor’s coordination committee has met the chief minister and discuss issues of the doctor safety & security. They also inform the CM KPK about the current situation of the doctor’s protest and said that doctors in KPK feel insecure after the kidnapping incident of Dr Amjad Takweem & Dr Mujahid Bangash.
After these doctor kidnapping incidents provincial doctor associations & young doctors association start protest in government hospitals and they didn’t provide the treatments to the patients in government hospitals in Peshawar and other cities of the KPK province.
During the meeting the groups of the doctors informs to the chief minister of the KPK, also demand that government recover the doctors. They also demand for the suspension of the SHO TATARA area Hayat Abad Peshawar, according to the doctors because of police the kidnapper run out from the Hayat Abad area. The Doctors show concern over the other people residing in the doctor’s hostel. On the demand of the Doctors Chief Minister KPK assure that the provincial government of KPK will resolve the problem of the doctor’s community.
The chief minister of the KPK Parvez Khattak also assures that for the investigation of the kidnapping incident judicial commission will be working & the commission will check the fact finding. CM KPK also assures that SHO TATARA Hayat Abad area is suspended and will remove from his post and the officer will post in police line Peshawar. Chief Minister of kpk ordered on the spot to the CCPO ( chief capital police officer )Ijaz Khan that make full proof security plans for the safety of the Doctors community in provincial capital also in other cities of the province.
During meeting it’s also decided that the provincial interior department will install the scanners in different areas of the city and GSM tracker for the security reason. Parvez Khattak also confirmed to the doctors that Quick response team will start work very soon in Peshawar city; the team will be responsible not only for the security but also for the different operation against the terrorist and criminal in provincial capital Peshawar.
After the assurance the doctors Coordination Committee announced that doctors will provide treatment to the patients in hospitals and they finish their strike, which was start from last week in all hospital of the Peshawar and KPK Province.
