Why voting irregularities could swing the Virginia AG recount to Republicans (Obenshain/Herring)
The Daily Caller ^ | 12 December 2013 | Matt K. Lewis

If you’re wondering why Virginia Republicans are willing to fight over the attorney general’s race, it’s because the post has become almost as important as the governorship. Not only could the outcome impact continuing legal issues surrounding the Affordable Care Act, it would likely impact the number of Republicans in the U.S. Congress.

Right now, Virginia has eight Republicans and three Democrats in the U.S. House. Prior to the redistricting — which was controlled by a Republican General Assembly and signed by Republican Governor Bob McDonnell — Republicans held just a six-to-five majority.

Democrat Mark Herring — should he become the attorney general — would most likely argue the lines were unconstitutional and must be redrawn. One could easily imagine that when the defendant (the state) agrees with the plaintiff, that the three-judge court panel currently litigating the case would be hard-pressed to disagree.

This matter isn't over.. the article mentions some discrepancies in the reporting of votes from Fairfax County, the biggest democrat bastion in the state.

Ultimately, the recourse for massive Democrat voter fraud coming up in 2014 will rest in the hands of the Obama Department of Justice.

In other words, they are going to pull out all the stops and try to ensure they get the trifecta of control. The media will ignore it, and the only thing to stop it is massive, massive conservative turnout coupled with Obamacare disaffected voters voting against anything Democrat.

Add to this the internal battle going on with Conservatives pitted against the entrenched Vichy RINOs and you have a real question as to what is going to happen.

Herring’s victory smells fishy.

Thanks for this, Scott ....
I’d be surprised if this turns out in our favor as it always follows, the rats win in a lose one.
No surprise the “irregularities” are in Ffax Co....

I might add that I will not be one of those conservatives who again, for a third time, holds their nose and goes with the RINO because of what Democrats might gain.

I prefer to take my attitude from an old movie I once saw called “Go for Broke” about the 442nd Nisei Battalion(IIRC).

I’ll not be voting for a Vichy RINO ever again.

Redistricting by a republican majority?

Elections have consequences, now don’t they?

Love the play on words, that someone named “Herring” has a “fishy” victory.

In any close election in which we go to a recount, the Democrat normally gains votes in the recount.

We need a truce while we dispatch the Marxists. I don't know if that is possible. The divide seems to be between the establishment (red & blue) and the rubes in flyover country. By attacking the red team we pretty much guarantee a loss. I think our effort should be to knock off as many blues as possible plus empty seats to be filled with conservatives. Build up the conservative brand, not waste precious funds primarying other republicans out of spite. Even though they richly deserve it.

Seriously, has Republican won a recount since 2000?

Thanks for the dose of common sense, which is sorely needed at times. Even Herman Cain on his radio show today said that it’s time to stop the circular firing squad, and take back the Senate in 2014 and the White House in 2016.
