Mary Katharine Ham: Obama ‘narrating the presidency, not actually holding the office’ [VIDEO]
The Daily Caller ^ | December 6, 2013 | Brendan Bordelon

Posted on 12/08/2013 1:52:58 AM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Journalist Mary Katharine Ham reacted Friday to President Obama’s interview with MSNBC last night, telling Fox News his excuses for Obamacare’s flaws proves he is “narrating the presidency, not actually holding the office of the presidency.”

Ham spoke with Fox’s Bill Hemmer and the Washington Examiner’s Byron York about Obama’s justification for his healthcare law’s stumbles. “It’s not so much my personal management style or particular issues around White House organization,” he claimed. “We have these big agencies — some of which are outdated, some of which are not designed properly.”

Let me first say that I agree with the president that the federal bureaucracy is an obstacle for the government doing things well,” Ham said, “and that is one of the reasons that many people like myself were skeptical about them being able to undertake this and do it well.”

“But second, here he is again sort of narrating the presidency, not actually holding the office of president,” she continued. “Presumably he’s in charge of these things and could have made a difference. In this case, he says this is a problem that he knew about and will be solved sometime in the future, absolving himself and his administration of all the problems he’s caused in the meantime.”(continued)

The issue is...he’s never been responsible for anything...even through high school, and now...some idiots think he can pull a rabbit out of the hat in terms of responsibility, decision-making, and management style. He has no magic....no past history....and nothing to draw from.

He’s an actor of sorts. He pauses, says things, waves his hands around, and gives a decent performance. If we didn’t need an actual manager in the office...then he’d be OK as the actor-in-chief.

Presently, a hog-farmer from Arkansas who did four years in the Marines, and can balance a checkbook....probably would do a better job in the office than the President. Sadly, when you needed an executive...you got a soap-opera actor.

She’s my “Internet wife” is what I tell my spouse. Gillian Anderson is my “TV wife” and has been for years.

Well, we got to the promised land. It took awhile but we made it. Content-free is exactly that.

And it ain't so good for some, for others absolute high-cotton.

So, let's re-double our efforts and re-try that receipe as the ingredients were fine, it was the fixin' that was a tad off target.

“We have these big agencies — some of which are outdated, some of which are not designed properly.”

Rather than plying golf, hosting parties and fund raising, he should be meeting with his cabinet members and the heads of agencies setting goals and timetables for meeting those goals.

Stories about Obama’s incompetence miss the point. He is INCREDIBLY effective in doing what he set out to do: cripple our economy, transform our welfare system into socialism, institute socialized medicine, weaken the military, alienate our allies, and diminish our power and influence on the world stage.

WHAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO MISS IS THAT OBAMA HATES AMERICA. He sees America as the problem: WE ARE RICH because we stole our wealth from third world countries—LIKE KENYA. Yes, he’s delusional—but he is accomplishing everything he set out to do. And all the conservative press can talk about is how incompetent he is. What they should be talking about is

HOW THE FORCES BEHIND OBAMA ARE ABLE TO EFFECT HIS AGENDA WHILE HE’S IS GOLFING, PARTYING, AND TRAVELING. Maybe George Soros is off limits.

Obama told thrill-seeker Chris Matthews: “We have these big agencies — some of which are outdated, some of which are not designed properly.”

(Cackle).....as Charles Krauhammer observed: "It's as if he took a tour of the WH, looked in the Oval Office, and discovered he was the President."

Give the guy a break---he's tapped others to do the heavy-lifting for him. Pawning off the blame----that's the "Chicago way" (/snix).

===============================================

Due to the latest Obamacare flopola, David Plouffe, once Obama's top advisor, was resurrected to mollify the angry crowds.

Faithful Pepsodent-user Plouffe smilingly told ABC'S "This Week" that Americans need not worry---that the $600 billion healthcare-gov web site that was supposed to be up and functioning Oct, then Dec 1, “will work really well by 2017...when Obama is out of office.”

The sap-happy DNC musta put that soundbite in its 2014-16 "Memorable Democrat Statements" file.

Mmmmm....I sure hope Obamacare covers David's dental work.

=============================================

Now, America, let's hear a shoutout for the really good news that Obama DOES, in fact, intend to leave office (breathes sigh of relief)).

This beautifully summarizes what I have been thinking as well. She has nailed him. He truly thinks that all he has to do is proclaim something, and it becomes true. No effort on his part to make sure it happens, no concern as to whether it is even possible. He thinks he's a magician, not an executive.

“private sector velocity” is a great term, and it contrasts with “government sector inertia”.
