While we’re on this subject, I watch the Food Network and they have so many shows dedicated to people who want to open up a restaurant, or food truck. With so many people out of work...out of money, who’s spending their money on eating out?
Food trucks would fare better, less overhead, more flexibility. If they go near a business with a lot of workers who don’t have a cafeteria, they get thronged.
Restaurants are really iffy. I’ve known some that thrive in this lousy economy. If you can get a great experience for a medium price, people will go there for the sake of the escape. But a reputation helps and you don’t get it overnight.
