Police chiefs report: Newtown police responded rapidly to Sandy Hook shootings

"Almost six minutes lapsed between the first officers’ arrival and the time officers entered the building..."

This is why they didn't want the 911 calls released.

Notice the plural there "officers'" meaning that within 4 minutes of the shooting a multiplicity of officers were there -- more than enough to go into the building from multiple points if necessary. But instead they sat and debated and "defended in place".

Reports have the first officer arriving in a minute and 30 seconds then waiting for his buddies to arrive and when they did they entered the building from the back -- as far away from the office area where they knew the shooter was as possible.

Pathetic

The report said officers followed the department’s procedure in parking far enough away from the building to allow officers to survey the scene surrounding the school and react to incidents as necessary.

Was a quarter mile far enough away??? Their staging area was what -- the firehouse a quarter mile down the road???

One of the most disconcerting videos shows about a dozen officers with their guns a ready fully armed marching in unison to the school for their long-awaited assault-- and lo and behold where are they marching up from -- that long road from the firehouse as far away as possible.

Kids are dying in the building and the cavalry park as far away as possible and take a quarter mile march up the road.

Why???

So people could see them.

For dramatic effect??? Was it for some promotional video??

Oh that's right we had to chase the guy into the woods -- the parent who was on the phone to 911 reporting the shooting.

We had to chase down that mythical second shooter so that we didn't have to face that real first and only shooter still firing in the building.

Since the shooter is believed to have committed suicide at 09:40:03 hours, Newtown Officers were on scene a total of 1 minute and 10 seconds before the shooter committed suicide.....

At 09:41:07 hours, the patrol sergeant reported that the last shots heard came from the front of the building.

At 09:42:27 hours, the sergeant repeated that shots were heard at the front of the building, possibly the roof

[So according to this police chiefs report the shooter was still shooting after he had committed suicide.]

Reminds me of the Dr. Pettit killings where the cops waited outside the house while the mother and daughters were raped , tortured and burned alive and only entered the house after the fire was put out. Not one had the balls to enter the house and confront the criminals. I get a laugh whenever I see the slogan “To protect and serve”. By now we all know what and who that refers to.
