Sadly, one person deceased, according to the sheriff.

“At a briefing Sunday afternoon, Alford confirmed that a body believed to be Wanda Davis was located in the rubble. He said her husband was out of town at the time of the blast.”

The LEFT? Why would a home exploding in Grandview (10 miles from me) have ANYTHING at all to do with the Left, Right, Middle, or otherwise. It’s about an explosion. Stop politicizing everything. The number one problem with American Politics is the two party system.

"The number one problem with American Politics is the two party system."

Well, welcome to FR. That's a good feisty opening post.

But you don't get off that easy. Please tell us what your solution to this problem is. Is it a one party system? (Some here might argue that we already have that.)

Or perhaps you favor multi party systems like some countries in Europe have?

Please - we await your pearls of wisdom.

Just another reason not to have a basement in Texas. They use gas to heat and it would settle in the basement if there were leaks, and then BOOM!!

From the linked article...

"The main thing is to locate the owners of the property," he told News 8, identifying them as Gary Wagner and Wanda Buckley Davis.
At a briefing Sunday afternoon, Alford confirmed that a body believed to be Wanda Davis was located in the rubble. He said her husband was out of town at the time of the blast.

If you are a Texan or an Okie you had bleep well better have a secure basement, outside underground shelter or at least a root cellar. Do not, REPEAT do not pipe gas to/thru/or by it. It doesn’t matter if digging is hard. It’s not nearly as hard as trying to climb down from the top of a tornado.———you been warned.

Now it’s starting to sound like Mystery Detectives. House blows up, wife inside, husband out of town, you could make quite a show out of this.

They make a loud boom when they blow, but they’ll shriek like 10 747’s at full power until the line pressure dissipates.

If the number one problem is two party politics then you think everyone should be a Republican?

We live a few miles north of this incident. The blast wave shook the house significantly. It sounded like a heavy steel table was dragged across the concrete and the house shook.

I thought we had another little earthquake. Wife said it was similar but without all the stuff in the house rattling.

Prayers for the family.

Propane, yes. Natural gas, however, is lighter than air, and it will dissipate when you open windows and doors.

“The number one problem with American Politics is the two party system.”

Agreed and we need more than 2 Parties. Neither Party works for America in my view. They work for politicians and those who own the politicians.

If you want companies to be safety and environmentally self regulating you require the CEO and owner to have is home near the plant, and you require all laws to be applicable to Congress first. Too many double standards exist in America.
