With the “nuclear option” in place, President Barack Obama needs only 51 votes to see his executive and judicial nominations brought to a vote. Liberals are seizing the opportunity, pushing Obama to nominate people with a left-of-center ideology, The Hill reports.
Senate Democrats invoked the “nuclear option” on Nov. 21, changing the rule that 60 votes were needed to bring judicial or executive nominees to the Senate floor for a confirmation vote. With only 55 members on their side, Democrats had been unable to prevent Republican filibusters. …

We need to take a page from the leftist playbook. If we call them communists, socialists, marxists, liberals, progressives, it just gives them the opportunity to confuse the conversation by saying: "Oh, no, no -- if you knew anything about marxists, you'd know politician X is not a marxist, you poor ignorant fool." Same with the other labels.
Time to just use ONE label -- "Left wing extremists." How long have we been listening to them call us "Right wing extremists"?
It is a label that conservatives ought to be throwing at them very . . . um . . . liberally at every opportunity.
What would stop the Democrats from changing the rules back requiring 60 votes if they loose the Senate next year?

Sounds fine to me. My issue is the term liberal has become trivial. By continuing to call them liberals, I think we marginalize our arguments before we even get started. These people are anti-American, and should be labeled as such.

Liberals understand all too well that controlling the language is a very powerful tool to be used in manipulating those whose understanding of issues and concepts is a mile wide and a nanometer deep.
Like people who understand a con-man's trick, we roll our eyes when we see them use it, we even protest loudly and point it out in detail, but the the con-man just keeps one contemptuous eye on us, smiles inwardly, and fixes his audience with a "Don't pay any attention to them...they are ignorant/jaded/racist/sexist/anti-democratic/(insert your malediction here) and aren't interested in what is best for you. I care about you, and you need to listen to what I say..."
"Homosexual" becomes "gay". "Liberal" becomes "progressive". And so on. They employ this tactic over and over again, and we let them.
And the vacuous, idiotic sheep look deep into the con-man's eyes, turn away from us and back to the con-man, and we go pound sand.
It may be symbolic but when they try to push crap commie nominees through, the R’s should just go on strike. Call in sick. Walk out. At least, vote “Present”. Flip Harry the bird, literally and figuratively. He wants it this way.

They most certainly will if the “loose” the Senate (BTW, it’s “lose”). The Pubbies can just as easily change it back, but they probably don’t have the guts to do it.
Yes they will. They’ll do it in a lame-duck session between the election and the Inauguration of the Senate in January.
