The Moslem Tyrant-by-Fraud has “stuck it to”
Americans, the military, Constitutionalists,
Israel, the Vatican, nonMoslems,
and Sunni, while helping narcoterrorists,
al Qaeda, and the mullahs in Iran.

Is there NOT one (1) Patriot in Congress?

Apparently not. Ever.
They are too busy arming al Qaeda,
and making money from it, themselves.

Why should we have an embassy to a religious group?

This is a slap in the face to all Christians.

I am not Catholic and I know clearly that Obozo hates all of us. He wants to subject all of us. I have news for these cretin, I won’t make a pact with the Devil. Will always oppose these cretin.

Why should we have an embassy to a religious group?

Well said. We should only have embassies to states, like for example... uh, Vatican.

When the political winds turn ugly, I will side with the Vatican and not with our current government.

An American taxpayer.

"Vatican City Listeni/ˈvætɨkən ˈsɪti/, officially Vatican City State (Italian: Stato della Città del Vaticano;[8] pronounced [ˈstaːto della t͡ʃitˈta del vatiˈkaːno]), is a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the city of Rome. It has an area of approximately 44 hectares (110 acres), and a population of around 840.[1] This makes Vatican City the smallest internationally recognized independent state in the world by both area and population." Take it up with the State department.

The embassy isn’t to the Church per se but to the Vatican City State, which is all that is left of the Papal States—109 acres that are a sovereign nation, and not part of Italy. While much diminished, the nation has existed in one way or another for 1257 years: in 756 Pepin the Short, who was sovereign over (among other things) the portion of the Italian peninsula that included Rome granted Pope Stephen I sovereignty over Rome and its environs, a grant that was confirmed by Pepin’s son Charlegmagne in 774. The size of the Papal States have ebbed and flowed since then. Very few states have such ancient roots. If the head of another denomination also happened to be head of a state, it would make sense to have an ambassador to that state.

The Pope does pack some additional punch as well, usually being well-respected, the spiritual leader of more than a billion, and alleged to have good connections on high, all of which are reasons to give more weight to the position than to ambassadorships to other very small states.

The Vatican has reputedly stockpiled a substantial supply of Holy Water, and is rumoured to have a virtually unlimited capacity for producing more. The present administration has no effective means of dealing with this threat—thus the security concerns.

The Vatican is only 110 acres. Is the US Embassy to it actually ON Vatican property?

Remember that whole Belin Wall thing? Yep, the Pope was involved in that. Oh, and Poland..you remember that, no? The Pope is a head of state, the Vatican is a country unto itself. In addition to his role as the leader of the Catholic church, the Pope plays a diplomatic role.

While it is a non-secular entity, the Church plays a big role in a lot of secular activities.

And how much safer could one be in an American embassy (we’ve hardened those all now, right?) surrounded by the Swiss Guards?

Another fail for 0.
