Joe Scarborough has suggested that President Obama's poor poll numbers made him "desperate," leading him to agree to a deal with Iran on its nuclear program that Scarborough criticized as "bad" and even "horrible."
Scarborough described recently speaking with someone who said that no president with approval ratings under 40% should be allowed to do a deal. Reminds me of doctors' warnings not to sign legal documents while under the effects of some medications. Said Scarborough of unpopular presidents: "they get desperate, they really do."

His numbers will plunge even further when the implications of what is to become of this becomes readily apparent; they gave up nothing and we caved and are enabling them to move their nuclear program along even further. The man is completely clueless at what he’s doing unless his intention is to assist them.

Is this one of those “deals” where the Iranians promise to continue trying to develop nuclear weapons, while we promise to pretend we don’t notice?

If his poll numbers were higher it would have been worse as there would have been more, “flexibility”.

Obviously Jarrett, Power and Rice had a lot of input into this but I’m beginning to wonder if they are not feeding a very dangerous penchant for narcissistic grandiosity in Obama. The question in my mind is “Does Obama think he’s the Hidden Imam, the Mahdi?”
I don't know who that is next to him. But she is about to go in to a seizure when Joe is talking badly about her dear leader! She wants to do anything but talk about Obama's deal with Iran. She's all but begging the director to turn Joe's mic off and go to a break.

I doubt Obama cares much about poll numbers.
Any dealings with Iran were more a Liberal cause. Jimmah Carter fell for the same cause decades ago, and the results of that have been a thorn in the Middle East since.
Obama has a history of making messes in Egypt, Lybia, etc.

This deal has been over a year in the making. Let’s not fool ourselves; Obama would have gone for it even if the Obamacare rollout had been smooth as silk.
