Paula Zahn is an actual newsperson, Katy Couric is a talk show host from the Today Show. Paula Zahn is much easier to look at and listen to than Katy Couric.

Well, she was such a success at her last venture as a news anchor. What could go wrong?
I don’t get the fascination with this perpetually adolescent, perky airheaded ‘celebrity’. What, exactly, is her talent? She and Kelly Ripa have a serious problem being adult women. Women like this are facades-selling the ‘little girl’ image while insisting they are journalists improving the world. It’s laughable. Does ANYONE like this manufactured ‘journalist’?

I say "Breaking, Breaking News", because Fox noisily puts on breaking news "ALERTS" all day long, especially if a cat is stuck up in a tree.
Smith is evidently only to be called on to handle "Breaking, Breaking News", if you get my drift.
Which means that in reality, Shepherd is consigned to the dustbin of television news history, unless, of course, a meteor is headed straight for earth, in which case Shep is hauled away from his part-time greeter job at Wal-Mart to report on it.

It was to be a high point of the trip. Couric swept right past the group and actually looked down her nose at them, sneering as she passed.
She was much too important to stop and talk to a bunch of Texas hicks. Woman scorned are not happy women! LOL!
