A senior Somali government official wants Canadians to pay closer attention to youths to make sure they are not being influenced by radical preachers trying to lure them into taking up arms in his country.

Abdurahman Adan Ibrahim, a Member of Parliament and former Deputy Prime Minister, flew to Toronto last week to accompany a fellow MP who was badly wounded in an Al-Shabab suicide bombing in Mogadishu.

In an interview, Mr. Ibrahim, a member of his government’s foreign relations committee, said several Somali-Canadians had joined Al-Shabab and that someone had radicalized them and financed their travel...

the Canadians should be very vigilant of not losing their own children, because this child, maybe he’s been told to go to jihad but next day he will be told to do the same jihad in the middle of Toronto

...

Several dozen radicalized Somali-Canadians from Toronto and Ottawa have joined the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabab

When Christians get radicalized they don’t kill people they just go to church a lot.

When Muslims get radicalized they join al qaeda and kill people.

I wish everyone would find a true translation of the Holy Quran and read it.

There is no such thing as a "radicalized" Muslim or Imam.

There is no such thing as a "terrorist".

These people are simply doing what the Holy Quran tells them to.

There are free copies of the Holy Quran in the Gutenberg Project for anyone to download and read.

To know if you have a true translation, look for a Sura (chapter), titled "Spoils of War".

If it's not there, but you find a chapter titled, "Victory", you have a "sanitized" translation made to fool westerners into thinking Islam is a "religion of peace".

Sorry Mr. MP, but their laws don’t allow them to keep an eye on anyone, other than their more Christian conservative native-born citizens.

Thanks for the advice though.

It is true that all terrorists are not radicalized Muslims. However it is also true that radicalized Muslims ARE serial killers.

What I do not understand is the willful blindness and stupidity of the Western World that refuses to see this clash of cultures for what it is. Muslims have been butchering each other (Shi'ites vs. Sunnis) for 1,400+ years. When they haven't been killing each other, they've been killing, enslaving, and converting Jews, Christians, Buddhists, and any other poor people that run afoul of this insane death cult. Muslims divide the world into "believers" (Muslims) and unbelievers (Infidels). The Koran commands Muslims to convert, enslave or kill the Infidels. How do you compromise with a suicidal death cult and survive?

There are (or at least have been) lots of Muslims who skim by the more violent parts of the Koran. They give that stuff a nod but never envision themselves carrying it out.

Not to draw a moral equivalence but a methodological one, there are Christians and Jews who are equally casual about the bible. Most of the rough stuff of the Old Testament is considered to be in abeyance right now by most Jewish scholars, so orthodox believers tend not to be menaces. Small-o orthodox Christianity is aggressively pacifistic, if I may use a paradox.

But we are not wrong to notice the danger of moderate Muslims going radical. These flare-ups are unpredictable by any normal worldly method.

What I do not understand is the willful blindness and stupidity of the Western World that refuses to see this clash of cultures for what it is.

I think it came out of the multiculturalism movement of the 1970s and 1980s. Those people have mostly taken a discrete fade from public life, now that the damage they wanted has been done.

They, in turn, came out of the "blame America first" zeitgeist that got its start in the post-Kennedy-assassination America of the mid 1960s. As explained by Mr. James Pierson in his book Camelot and the Cultural Revolution: How the Assassination of John F. Kennedy Shattered American Liberalism, liberals decided to basically drive America into the ground when they realized that a Communist had murdered their favorite President.

Multiculturalism was just one of many approaches they took toward the implementation of their death-to-America agenda.

Conservative commentators at the time warned that multiculturalism was a Pandora's box, but none of them saw just how bad it would get.
