Breaking: DEMOCRATS to REIMBURSE Insurance Companies Up to 80% on O-Care Losses (Video)
The Gateway Pundit ^ | 11-18-2013 | Jim Hoft

This must have been one of those backroom deals we heard so much about… Stuffed inside the Obamacare law passed by Democrats (with no Republican votes) is a provision that will reimburse insurance companies up to 80% of their losses due to Obamacare. Melissa Francis reported on FOX News:

“Marco Rubio has been out highlighting the fact that there is this ‘risk corridor’ where written into this law that nobody read is this idea that is insurance companies have 3% higher costs than they estimated as a result of who’s in these pools, they can recoup 50% of that money from the government, from you and me. 8% higher than what they estimated, they can recoup 80%!… This bailout of the insurance companies is the next big thing we’ll all be talking about.”

And, here we thought Democrats hated insurance companies.

What the Hell happened to this country?

The progressives won. Removed God, took over the schools, implemented socialism, own the media and Hollywood, took over the courts, and when that is not enough they cheat.

Welcome to the new Amerika comrade.

Simple. Don’t pay taxes. If the government doesn’t have any money how are they going to reimburse insurance companies?

They will find some way to take what you own as taxation and they will further tax you by devaluing your currency (printing).

Mark Levin was right and Karl Rove was wrong. Obamacare won’t collapse under its own weight. It has no actuarial value. It’s a government program. The progressives will throw an infinite amount of money at it to get it to “work.”

I would go much further although Levin is right - I think we are all missing the point. I wrote this on another thread that died this morning.

Even those who did not read the bill knew what they were voting for - socialism. It was that simple then and it’s that simple now. To boil it all down to technical aspects misses the point of the bill.

It was never about efficient delivery of services - it has always been about government control. Control of 1/6th of our economy and voter control. It is proven that the majority of government workers (likely to include health care providers when it shifts to single payer) vote democrat - win for the rats. On top of that, a large percentage of elderly vote (those needing the most health care) for their own benefits - another win for the rats.

The GOP does not get it. Many of us believe the electorate would change drastically if we pass amnesty because we believe “new Americans” (aka - the poor) will vote for benefits for themselves.

Why do so many miss the same likelihood for Obamacare? It is a dreadful piece of socialist legislation that will turn healthcare into a trip to the DMV - we will be held hostage by rat voting junior bureaucrats and scared voters that vote to maintain whatever health care the government grants them. It is a brilliant scheme to maintain power.

-— Why do so many miss the same likelihood for Obamacare? -—

The mystery is why working people support Obamacare. The EBT crowd is understandable.

They indeed should... but they will do nothing. We must force change through increased unemployment of rats and rinoid parasites in DC. It is the only way short of bloodshed.

We gave the biggest job in the country to a person who wasn’t qualified or legally able to be President but got elected in a giant fraud of Affirmative Action Hiring.

A clash of the Peter Principle & Affirmative Action created this mess.

And you thought the housing bubble was a disaster!”””

When the reality of the cost of Obamacare hits middle class Americans who already have lost 25% of their working hours, a larger foreclosure problem will be here.

Many are struggling to pay their mortgages now, and giving them an obnoxious bill for Obamacare & demanding that you participate under threat of going to jail is going to put Americans into the position of paying for Obamacare or their mortgages.

The next round of foreclosures could completely kill the nation’s economy. Banks will fail. Real estate companies will close. Construction is already on the ropes.

The current stockholders of insurance companies will be losing that investment money, and how about all the money the insurance companies put thru the banks nationwide each & every day of the year? The collapse of those stocks will hurt Wall Street, and it will spread thru other support companies.

How about hospital stock holders? How about the companies which support the health industry, such as the drug companies, the joint replacement companies, even the companies who made daily supplies used in a clinic or hospital???

Obama wanted to control over 18% of the USA economy. Instead, I believe he is going to DESTROY that 18% and much more.

Those who sung his praises & now try to tell us we only dislike him because he is black are the worst kinds of racists.

Thanks, Oprah. Maybe you will have to hold some more auctions of your personal items. How long before YOU are bankrupt??

“Truth can hurt but isn’t necessarily “mean”, unless you’re a perpetually offended liberal. ;-)”

The reality of truth hurts twice as hard when you have been in emotional denial all along and finally must face the real truth! You are correct.

Emotional decision makers make a decision without looking at the facts and then are blind to all facts that do not support the decision they have made. Thus it really hurts when the facts they have denied have become reality. Problem is, by then(point of facing reality of the delusion) the children and our future have been destroyed...

I like the fable with the “grasshopper” being the “dung beetle!” Better resemblance..

THE ANT AND THE DUNG BEETLE

During the summer, the ant went around the fields collecting grains of wheat and barley so that he could store up some food for the winter.

A dung beetle watched the ant and decided that he must be a wretched creature since he worked all the time, never taking a moment’s rest, unlike the other animals.

The ant didn’t pay attention to the dung beetle and simply went about his business. When winter came and the dung was washed away by the rain, the beetle grew hungry.

He went to the ant and begged him to share a little bit of his food.

The ant replied, ‘O beetle, if you had done some work yourself instead of making fun of me while I was working so hard, then you would not need to be asking me for food.’

The fable teaches us that we should not neglect important things that require our attention, and instead we should attend in good time to our future well-being.

Time to find an old religious group that is against public health insurance and have enough people join to create our own exemption!

Is anybody exempted from the insurance mandate by reason of religious affiliation?

Yes. A paragraph on page 107 of the legislation provides for individual religious exemptions. The language is non-specific with regard to particular faiths, however.

Read carefully:

(5) EXEMPTIONS FROM INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.—

In the case of an individual who is seeking an exemption certificate under section 1311(d)(4)(H) from any requirement or penalty imposed by section 5000A, the following information [is required]:

(A) In the case of an individual seeking exemption based on the individual’s status as a member of an exempt religious sect or division, as a member of a health care sharing ministry, as an Indian, or as an individual eligible for a hardship exemption, such information as the Secretary shall prescribe.

Similarly, page 128 of the legislation states:

“(A) RELIGIOUS CONSCIENCE EXEMPTION.—Such term [i.e., “applicable individual”] shall not include any individual for any month if such individual has in effect an exemption under section 1311(d)(4)(H) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which certifies that such individual is a member of a recognized religious sect or division thereof described in section 1402(g)(1) and an adherent of established tenets or teachings of such sect or division as described in such section.

The above passage amends the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, of which Section 1402(g)(1) defines “a member of a recognized religious sect or division thereof” as follows:

(1) Exemption
Any individual may file an application (in such form and manner, and with such official, as may be prescribed by regulations under this chapter) for an exemption from the tax imposed by this chapter if he is a member of a recognized religious sect or division thereof and is an adherent of established tenets or teachings of such sect or division by reason of which he is conscientiously opposed to acceptance of the benefits of any private or public insurance which makes payments in the event of death, disability, old-age, or retirement or makes payments toward the cost of, or provides services for, medical care (including the benefits of any insurance system established by the Social Security Act). Such exemption may be granted only if the application contains or is accompanied by—
(A) such evidence of such individual’s membership in, and adherence to the tenets or teachings of, the sect or division thereof as the Secretary may require for purposes of determining such individual’s compliance with the preceding sentence, and

(B) his waiver of all benefits and other payments under titles II and XVIII of the Social Security Act on the basis of his wages and self-employment income as well as all such benefits and other payments to him on the basis of the wages and self-employment income of any other person,

and only if the Commissioner of Social Security finds that—

(C) such sect or division thereof has the established tenets or teachings referred to in the preceding sentence,

(D) it is the practice, and has been for a period of time which he deems to be substantial, for members of such sect or division thereof to make provision for their dependent members which in his judgment is reasonable in view of their general level of living, and

(E) such sect or division thereof has been in existence at all times since December 31, 1950.

Proverbs 6:6 refers to the worker ant......

Proverbs 6
New International Version (NIV)

Warnings Against Folly

6 My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor,
if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
2 you have been trapped by what you said,
ensnared by the words of your mouth.
3 So do this, my son, to free yourself,
since you have fallen into your neighbor’s hands:
Go—to the point of exhaustion—[a]
and give your neighbor no rest!
4 Allow no sleep to your eyes,
no slumber to your eyelids.
5 Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
like a bird from the snare of the fowler.

6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
7 It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
8 yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
9 How long will you lie there, you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
10 A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
11 and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man.
12 A troublemaker and a villain,
who goes about with a corrupt mouth,
13 who winks maliciously with his eye,
signals with his feet
and motions with his fingers,
14 who plots evil with deceit in his heart—
he always stirs up conflict.
15 Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant;
he will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.
16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
