"You learned your math from a liberal math teacher."

Sigh... I'll try once more.

Counting the press, there are four parts to the federal government. Assigning them equal weight, they are worth 1/4 each. We have a liberal Supreme Court, a liberal President, and a liberal press. 1/4+1/4+1/4 = 3/4.

The remaining fourth is half liberal, the Senate, and half Republican, the House. One half of one fourth equals 1/8. 3/4 + 1/8 = 7/8. Therefore, the federal government is 7/8 liberal. The one eighth in the house can't govern alone.

Real math is non-partisan.

Of course, the Supreme Court is not nearly 100% liberal. Nor, these days, is the press. And the Supreme Court has virtually zero say in budgeting.

But the entire structure of our government is that no money is spent unless the House, Senate and president all approve it (with nuances in veto and override).

The House should do its job and what it promised to its constituents to get elected—and no wasteful (read: Obamacare) money will be spent.

It’s not that difficult.

"Then it is the fault of the Democrat Senate and president, but the House has performed its Constitutional duties."

You seem to have forgotten that your original point was: "It was never the Founders’ idea that a majority in the House only act if a Senate majority and the president go along with their view on things." These two points of yours are precisely contradictory.

The founders did, indeed permit the Senate and President to concur on all bills, including the budget. Also, the House did pass several partial funding bills, and the Senate refused to even vote on them. I still say, what next? You now have the government shut down, in your scenario, and you're doing nothing.

If this was the Dems.....well remember how they made a simple storm into some big deal? And they WON! Bush will always be unfairly saddled with Katrina although the man did nothing wrong but fail to defend himself....the dolt.

Sad but true Thanks to Karl the architect , the great strategist.

Some solid RINOS there in Ayotte and Kinzinger. Kinzinger says he is besties with Ted Cruz.

You’re a pro-amnesty via backing Liz Cheney over Mike Enzi.

And again, you’re displaying liberal logic.

On the budget, the Founders meant for the House to have the upper hand because they were electorally closest to the people.

It was an intentional division of powers with the House having absolute veto power over spending bills. How hard is that to understand?

And, if the House passes bills that are prudent and adequate to run the government, but the Senate or president refuses to pass them, then it is the Senate or president refusing to fund the government. How hard is that to understand?

Im hesitant to attack the way Susan Collins talks. I dont know if it is a health issue. Collins is not as bad as Ayotte.

The shutdown and Obamacare rollout has hurt the RINOs brand.

Cruz and Lee were right. King and Gohmert have delayed amnesty. No one cares about the RINO queens on GMA.

A few months ago Ayotte implied the amnesty bil was an emergency.

Dick Cheney told Hannity a month ago that he got 44% of the hispanic vote and be concerned about the demographics of the vote. That was never the figure. Best estimate is 39% while Bush hispandered and spent big.

Enzi has been solid on amnesty with the Jeff Sessions Patriot 14.

LIz does have leadership potential but I think I would rather see her in a Sarah Palinesque format than trying to bump Enzi off in a carpetbagging fashion. That Should not be her style, IMHO.I have always seen her as a classy lady but there is little class displayed about the way she is going about it and her numbers appear to show as much.

That is truly insane, first zero bans coal in the US by making it impossible to make a buck using it as a fuel. Then when we agree to ship it abroad they want that banned as well.
Time to fight back with all we have,IMHO.
