“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

If it is encouraging, let him encourage; it it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Rom 12:8

Everywhere Marxism has been attempted it has failed miserably and the people suffered. The Tea Party and its politicians have taken untold amounts of abuse at the hands of the Obama regime and its supporters for the crime of sounding a warning of what was coming for America and now have been proven right. They have not only been proven right, they were understating the warnings of the storm coming from Obamacare. Ted Cruz was heckled and jeered by the suck up media and OB’s closest Comrades in both Parties, only to now be joined as the curtain is opened.

Could the President be any more of a hypocrite? After drawing another of his lines in the sand he finally relents and approves some allowance for Americans to keep the policies they like. He lied to America, period and now we are all paying for it. In a fair world he and the Dems would admit their fraudulent claims of no disruption in American lives and call for delay in implementation of this abortion. This was not the plan anybody including they wanted and so we are getting a Frankenstein of a program.

When Obozocare was shoved down the people’s throats in the middle of the night when this was not even a completed bill. This was the bill which was heading for a Senate compromise and was supposed to go to a conference committee between the two houses where the problems would be ironed out. Of course the hardcore Maxists like Barak Hussain wanted nationalized healthcare, but knew he didn’t have the votes even in his Party, so he settled on Senator Wyden’s mandated program as a transition plan towards single payer. It was then going to a conference where the issues could be ironed out one by one before the two houses voted again.

A funny thing happened on the way to the conference committee which was, fat Uncle Ted died and the Tea Party got Brown elected into his spot. This forced the Senate to break nearly every one of their rules to avoid the conference and on Christmas Eve they passed Obamacare bringing us to where we are now. Just like predicted, there is a complete lack of ability of the gummit to produce a fairly simple website for customer signups. The people in charge were more interested in taking care of their friends with graft then they were making a functioning website. How Mrs Obama becomes the determiner of who gets to build a website? Must be nice to take care of her girlfriend who owned perhaps the most incompetent designer on the planet and funnels her over a billion dollars. And we only thought she knew how to grow gardens and take hospital payola.

Now the American people have had a chance to take a peek inside the bill and they have unanimously said no. If they can’t even make a simple website to sign people up like Amazon does hundreds of thousands of times a day, can anyone imagine what the claim processing website will look like? That one will be hundreds of times more complicated and needing far more data than this one which points to a complete disaster. There will be infinite numbers of crashes and shutdowns while people wait for weeks or months to submit their claims. The backups will become deeper and more severe as the frustration builds throughout the nation over their Frankenstein.

This rollout has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the gummit cannot run healthcare or even insurance. There is no understanding of how it works or the personnel to design a program even if they wanted to know. This is simply a bill that the Marxists inside the Party have designed to destroy the insurance industry with all types of expenses to force the companies out of the industry. The plans were written to make it impossible to make a profit and the mandates require percentages of payout to bankrupt these companies in short order. They are required to payout ninety percent of what they take in whether those claims are there or not. This stops the companies from having an emergency fund on hand in case there is a national disaster where excessive claims would come in bankrupting the insurers. These types of restrictive dictates are written throughout the bill which underlines the fact this plan was written as a payback to the insurance industry which they have hated for decades. This law is about punishing not helping.

So far we have seen what happens when a Marxist program meets a free market society. Businesses lay off half of your low skilled workers to keep yourself from being under the dictates. When the premiums of your plan go up dramatically you drop your coverage explaining to your people that their votes has results and this is one of them. The insurance companies raise the rates of their policies to reflect the need to cover the uninsurable risk pool they are dictated to cover. Doctors no longer take insurance and require cash or assurances to perform surgeries or leave the business. Finally, nobody signs up for obamacare unless they are uninsurable or cannot afford it. So you now have a disaster of a healthcare program.

Obama and congress need to either pull the plug on obamacare for a minimum of a year and or Obozo steps down. It is obvious the plan does not work in an open society. To make these monstrosities work you need a compliant society or a heavy handed dictatorship. Once the people no longer fear this gummit then they will find ways to avoid Obamacare. It is a poorly written law with no concept of how the insurance industry works. It was written by pure statists who believe they know better than you how to take care of you and what is fair by their definition.

If the president had the slightest amount of character he would resign in shame from this roll-out. He is not the type who inspires people to follow and simply passed this Frankenstein to punish the insurance industry, hospitals and those he believed he had a grievance against. Even in his apology he said he was only looking out for the impoverished who do not get a fair chance in America. That statement underlined what he saw the purpose of this monstrosity is and why he should resign. If your presidency is about punishing certain groups to help others then you are not president of all the people. Time to do something for all the people and either resign for your fraudulent promises or delay obamacare and let America vote on it. Ideally he would do both.

Pray America is waking up

Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.

Good morning AB, All.

As always, thank you AB for doing this thread.

Good to check in every Sunday, be with like-minded folks. Finally I have a quiet Sunday at home, went to church yesterday, no singing….

NO WAIT!

Granddaughter currently sleeping in my bedroom. Last night we began making some jewelry, then I crocheted and she colored, we made some chili, we went to mass together yesterday in fact. But she goes home-across the street-just as soon as she wakes up as I like to spend my Sundays watching political shows and conversing on FreeRepublic and COOKING!

Went out to lunch yesterday with a friend. As I was walking out, from across the room, I hear “Sister Pat! Sister Pat!” This was a good five miles from the church as my reputation evidently, proceeds me.

Heh.

Well that’s my new name as I’d mentioned last week my debut as a standup comedian. All through church, even DURING mass, they lean over and tell me how great I was. Okay so I’m not being very modest….heh, between the dashed lines just one of my many emails, this line copied exactly as sent. And yes it was me what recruited all the talent but the Sister Pat thing was suggested to me….the church even paid for my costume! I was asked to do it last fall, before Billy died in fact. I said sure, this is how I often do things, agreeing to stuff that’s many eons in the future.

And then the future comes.

YOU WERE AWESOME AS “SISTER PAT”!   Frank owes you A LOT!   AND SO DO WE!!!   MANY THANKS FOR RECRUITING SO MUCH TALENT!!!

I was terrified the whole week as I’d never done stand-up comedy before. We had another standup comedian but….heh, he was AWFUL. Says he once opened for Jonathan Winters. Sister Pat was waaaaaaay better, I say with much humility.

So on to the news.

I am still sitting around with jaw down to knees over Obama’s big lie. I cross fingers and hope that THIS will finally be his downfall. The story has yet to be told because I believe when all is said and done Obamacare will go down the tubes.

Seriously folks, can a president of this country really survive such an assault of obvious lies? Last night, as my granddaughter was stringing jewelry, she tells me a joke.

“Mom-Mom, listen to this joke I just heard. The guy asks Obama…’Do you want FRIES with those lies?’ “

Turns out it was Huckabee on Fox said that as I heard it again later. But granddaughter was jumping around, laughing, she thought it was just the funniest thing. “Do you want fries with those lies,” she kept saying over and over. And hey, my laughter only encouraged her….heh.

Folks, if we have ten year olds laughing bejeesus at the president surely, SURELY, it’s the end of any seriousness we ever hold him to?

Right?

Summary of the Week comes from the late Gilda Radner:

Obamacare? “Nevermind.”

==

Obama tries for a do-over and opens a whole new can of worms that is wrought with unintended consequences.

Obama ‘allows’ the delay of the individual mandates, if individuals can get a restored plan from their insurance company.

So what if the restored plans are illegal, under the Obamacare Law. The O hath spoken.

The O then sneakily appoints insurance companies and state insurance commissioners to, quoting Captain Picard of The Starship Enterprise, “make it happen.” That alleviates The O from having to act any more and it shifts responsibility for failure and conflagration onto the insurance companies and state insurance commissions. Slick, huh!

However, several state insurance commissions have already raised questions and/or declined participation in The O’s ‘recommendation’. One insurance commissioner (D.C.) has already been replaced for disparaging ‘the grand recommendation’.

Trial lawyers are already lining up for the probable lawsuits — from patients, from insurance companies, from medical facilities. This could turn out to be the greatest silver-lined cloud (for trial lawyers) since the great tobacco settlement of two decades ago that was supposed to end smoking.

Exactly. And this is why this Administration is not panicked. It's because they know that this bill is doing exactly what it is designed to do.

No new young people are signing up? That will only hurt insurers, not government.

Who then, can the hospitals bill for services that are going to be rendered?

So far, the number of recorded times O made the ‘you can keep it’ statement is up to 36.

This morning, F&F was running a video of numerous Democrats also making the same claim over the last 4 years or so. [I missed part of it, so I don’t have a count of the number of Dems making the claim.]

Dems and media are concerned at whether Obama can restore his credibility. Behind the scenes, Dems and news rooms are in panic mode.

One stupendous example after another, stimulus, health care, housing loans, student loans, cash for clunkers...

Congressman Tim Walz D-Mn, “The more people find out what’s in there, the happier they are”

http://mankatofreepress.com/local/x535472508/Economy-health-care-among-topics-for-Walz-visit

Angie Bastian said the company’s human resources manager is having trouble finding detailed information about how the reform, which will mostly take affect in 2014, will impact their business.

“We’re looking for information,” she said. “... It would be helpful to have that so we can plan.”

Walz concurred, saying federal agencies need to finalize the rules surrounding the reform bill so that businesses of all sizes will know what will be expected of them and what sorts of tax credits they will receive. Ultimately, he said most small businesses will like what they see.

“The more people find out what’s in there, the happier they are,” he said.

[And it isn’t even 2014 yet, Angie...]

What is going to happen to the entire health care distribution system next year will make the Philippines devastation look minor.

No provider will know how or when payment will be made or who will make it.

If government thought that inserting “wellness” coverage into every policy was actually going to save lives and lower costs they were just plain stupid.

No matter what insurance companies, hospitals, etc do, there will be lawyers, government - to enforce selectively whatever Holder and the gang want; and civil to sue for malpractice.

It is going to be a very bad winter!

THIS IS THE TALKING POINT!

Where are the Republicans?

Tell America that the people currently suffering through this debacle are decent citizens WHO ACTUALLY PURCHASED HEALTH INSURANCE!

These are not illegal aliens using hospital ERs as doctors’ offices; these are not people who refuse to buy health insurance that their fellow citizen should pay for their medical needs.

THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO DID THE RIGHT THING and this administration is beating the hell out of them!

What do you think will happen when they come for employer coverage? You think Medicare isn’t going to suffer because of this.

Decent people, in the millions, across this country are being mistreated and....

....NEXT THEY’RE COMING FOR YOU!!!

Where are the pubs? Do they need me to tell them everything?

Brilliant as usual buddy. Along with the destruction of full time jobs and harassment of businesses just when they don't need it zerocare was never really about healthcare. That was always destined to become a single payer debacle(big government). It was just a matter of whether medicaid takes it over or people get frustrated down the road and demand the govt. do something. They will of course.IT will be single payer of some sorts. Yes obamacare was always about taking over 1/6 of the economy with private security forces,10k irs agents and the rest of the zillion pages of govt. largesse. All coming at the people not by and for people.

Of course the employer waiver was unconstitutional!

Again, you keep forcing me to ask this...

WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS?

Why aren’t they making a motion to what? Censure the guy? At the very least. Why aren’t they doing something about Obama’s dictates without benefit of legislative input?

Instead, they do nothing. Instead we have a dictator. We have NO opposition party, and this is why Obama is allowed to be a dictator.

They have voted repeal 41 times and the Speaker said Friday it can’t be fixed it must be repealed. At the state level the Republicans filed many suits and won some points at the supreme court level and lost the big one. Many Republican states refused to establish exchanges and are shunning medicaid enticements.

Your premise is a seive...... holds no water

No kidding!

After the games I was listening to ESPN Sportcenter—what jerks!

They kept saying stuff like, “Well, Alabama struggled to beat Mississippi State, don’t you think that Auburn can now beat them? And what about Florida State, with their 59 points!?”

Ha! First off, what struggle? Oh, Alabama was held to 20 points. Big deal. MS got 7. I really don’t think Alabama was struggling, but these guys gotta play the drama queen role to get viewers, I guess. And yes, things ARE shaping up to a GREAT Iron Bowl. I hope it even goes down to the wire and both teams show their mettle.

Yesterday I watched Ohio State-Illinois, Auburn-Georgia, Alabama-Miss State, and some of USC-Stanford. Great day and night for football fans!

The Uniparty supports ObamaCare...period. The House sends bills to repeal ObamaCare over and over, knowing damn well those bills won’t get past the Senate. We’re being played.

MTP concentrates on Obiecare this week. Should have been done last week, but they couldn't round up enough soft R's and libs. They got 'em this week; Mike Murphy, Kathleen Parker, Chris Mathews, etc...

I wonder if Mike Lee was asked, or Ted Cruz. ?

“three fund raisers in one day “

I was wondering the same thing. He will be useful as long as he can raise money amongst the “base”.

But you’d have to be brain-dead to sit at a $30K a plate dinner listening to him drivel on. His glam is gone.

Celebrities? Trial lawyers? people he can use tax money to give favors to? But they would do the same if it weren’t a boring fool at the lecturn. OR?

Ironically, few if any get back to the core of problems when zero took office.

The economy was in shambles so what doe zero do--a 786 billion dollar infrastructure/bank bailout plan that made things worse. From there we go to zero care which was never a national problem with 85% of the country already happily insured.

Its always been a deceitful con to take over 1/6 of the economy and little else.

Bottom line: Obamcare is all made up shit little else. Most just fell for it. Thankfully, not here.

One day, AB, they'll get some exciting football in the SEC. I keep waiting, and waiting....

I jest of course because I was referring to the Auburn game. Come to think of it, most of your Tide games have been yawners.

Speaking of OBAMA’s big LIE, have you all seen this?

Lots of LIARS in the democrat party:

(Meant to post earlier... Special thanks to Jet Jaguar for putting it together!)

SEN. HARRY REID (D-Nev.): “In fact, one of our core principles is that if you like the health care you have, you can keep it.” (Sen. Reid, Congressional Record, S.8642, 8/3/09)

SEN. RICHARD DURBIN: “We believe — and we stand by this — if you like your current health insurance plan, you will be able to keep it, plain and simple, straightforward.” (Sen. Durbin, Congressional Record, S.6401, 6/10/09)

SEN. CHUCK SCHUMER (D-NY): “If you like your insurance, you keep it.” (U.S. Senate, Finance Committee, Bill Mark-Up, 9/29/09)

SEN. PATTY MURRAY (D-Wash.): “Again, if you like what you have, you will be able to keep it. Let me say this again: If you like what you have, when our legislation is passed and signed by the President, you will be able to keep it.” (Sen. Murray, Congressional Record, S.6400, 6/10/09)

SEN. MAX BAUCUS (D-Mont.): “That is why one of the central promises of health care reform has been and is: If you like what you have, you can keep it. That is critically important. If a person has a plan, and he or she likes it, he or she can keep it.” (Sen. Baucus, Congressional Record, S.7676, 9/29/10)

SEN. TOM HARKIN (D-Iowa): “One of the things we put in the health care bill when we designed it was the protection for consumers to keep the plan they have if they like it; thus, the term ‘grandfathered plans.’ If you have a plan you like — existing policies — you can keep them. … we said, if you like a plan, you get to keep it, and you can grandfather it in.” (Sen. Harkin, Congressional Record, S.7675-6, 9/29/10)

THEN-REP. TAMMY BALDWIN (D-Wis.): “Under the bill, if you like the insurance you have now, you may keep it and it will improve.” (Rep. Baldwin, Press Release, 3/18/10)

SEN. MARK BEGICH (D-Alaska): “If you got a doctor now, you got a medical professional you want, you get to keep that. If you have an insurance program or a health care policy you want of ideas, make sure you keep it. That you can keep who you want.” (Sen. Begich, Townhall Event, 7/27/09)

SEN. MICHAEL BENNET (D-Colo.): “We should begin with a basic principle: if you have coverage and you like it, you can keep it. If you have your doctor, and you like him or her, you should be able to keep them as well. We will not take that choice away from you.” (Sen. Bennet, Press Release, 6/11/09)

SEN. BARBARA BOXER (D-Calif.): “So we want people to be able to keep the health care they have. And the answer to that is choice of plans. And in the exchange, we’re going to have lots of different plans, and people will be able to keep the health care coverage they need and they want.” (Sen. Boxer, Press Release, 2/8/11)

SEN. SHERROD BROWN (D-Ohio): “Our bill says if you have health insurance and you like it, you can keep it…”(Sen. Brown, Congressional Record, S.12612, 12/7/09)

SEN. BEN CARDIN (D-Md.): “For the people of Maryland, this bill will provide a rational way in which they can maintain their existing coverage…” (Sen. Cardin, Congressional Record, S.13798, 12/23/09)

SEN. BOB CASEY (D-Pa.): “I also believe this legislation and the bill we are going to send to President Obama this fall will also have secure choices. If you like what you have, you like the plan you have, you can keep it. It is not going to change.” (Sen. Casey, Congressional Record, S.8070, 7/24/09)

SEN. KAY HAGAN (D-N.C.): ‘People who have insurance they’re happy with can keep it’ “We need to support the private insurance industry so that people who have insurance they’re happy with can keep it while also providing a backstop option for people without access to affordable coverage.” (“Republicans Vent As Other Compromise Plans Get Aired,” National Journal’s Congress Daily, 6/18/09)

SEN. MARY LANDRIEU (D-La.): “If you like the insurance that you have, you’ll be able to keep it.” (MSNBC’s Hardball, 12/16/09)

SEN. PAT LEAHY (D-Vt.): “[I]f you like the insurance you now have, keep the insurance you have.” (CNN’s “Newsroom,” 10/22/09)

SEN. BOB MENENDEZ (D-N.J.): “If you like what you have, you get to keep it” “Menendez is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which is expected to release a bill later this week. He stressed that consumers who are satisfied with their plans won’t have to change. ‘If you like what you have, you get to keep it,’ he said.” (“Health Care Plan Would Help N.J., Menendez Says,” The Record, 6/19/09)

SEN. JEFF MERKLEY (D-Oreg.): “[E]nsuring that those who like their insurance get to keep it” “The HELP Committee bill sets forward a historic plan that will, for the first time in American history, give every American access to affordable health coverage, reduce costs, and increase choice, while ensuring that those who like their insurance get to keep it.” (Sen. Merkley, Press Release, 7/15/09)

SEN. BARBARA MIKULSKI (D-Md.): “It means that if you like the insurance you have now, you can keep it.” (Sen. Mikulski, Press Release, 12/24/09)

SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-W.Va.): “I want people to know, the President’s promise that if you like the coverage you have today you can keep it is a pledge we intend to keep.” (U.S. Senate, Finance Committee, Hearing, 9/23/09)

SEN. JACK REED (D-R.I.): “If you like the insurance you have, you can choose to keep it.” (Sen. Reed, Town Hall Event, 6/25/09)

SEN. BERNIE SANDERS (I-Vt.): “‘If you have coverage you like, you can keep it,’ says Sen. Sanders.” (“Sick And Wrong,” Rolling Stone, 4/5/10)

SEN. JEANNE SHAHEEN (D-N.H.): ‘if you have health coverage that you like, you get to keep it’ “My understanding … is that … if you have health coverage that you like you can keep it. As I said, you may have missed my remarks at the beginning of the call, but one of the things I that I said as a requirement that I have for supporting a bill is that if you have health coverage that you like you should be able to keep that. …under every scenario that I’ve seen, if you have health coverage that you like, you get to keep it.” (Sen. Shaheen, “Health Care Questions From Across New Hampshire,” Accessed 11/13/13)

SEN. DEBBIE STABENOW (D-Mich.): “As someone who has a large number of large employers in my state, one of the things I appreciate about the chairman’s mark is — is the grandfathering provisions, the fact that the people in my state, 60 percent of whom have insurance, are going to be able to keep it. And Mr. Chairman, I appreciate that. That’s a strong commitment. It’s clear in the bill … I appreciate the strong commitment on your part and the president to make sure that if you have your insurance you can keep it. That’s the bottom line for me.” (U.S. Senate, Finance Committee, Bill Mark-Up, 9/24/09)

SEN. JON TESTER (D-Mont.): “‘If you like your coverage, you’ll be able to keep it,’ Tester said, adding that if Medicare changes, it will only become stronger”. (“Tester In Baker To Discuss Health Care,” The Fallon County Times, 11/20/09)

SEN. TOM UDALL (D-N.Mex.): “Some worried reform would alter their current coverage. It won’t. If you like your current plan, you can keep it.” (“What I Learned: About Health Care Reform This Summer, By Your Lawmakers In Congress,” Albuquerque Journal, 9/8/09)

SEN. SHELDON WHITEHOUSE (D-R.I.): “…it honors President Obama’s programs and the promise of all of the Presidential candidates that if you like the plan you have, you get to keep it. You are not forced out of anything.”(Sen. Whitehouse, Congressional Record, S.8668, 8/3/09)
