In Weekly Address Obama Takes Credit for US Oil Boom …That He Had Nothing to Do With

In his weekly address, President Obama took credit for the booming energy sector in the country.

From the White House:

One area where we’ve made great progress is American energy. After years of talk about reducing our dependence on foreign oil, we are actually poised to control our own energy future.

Shortly after I took office, we invested in new American technologies to reverse our dependence on foreign oil and double our wind and solar power. And today, we generate more renewable energy than ever – with tens of thousands of good, American jobs to show for it. We produce more natural gas than anyone – and nearly everyone’s energy bill is lower because of it. And just this week, we learned that for the first time in nearly two decades, the United States of America now produces more of our own oil here at home than we buy from other countries.

That’s a big deal. That’s a tremendous step towards American energy independence.

However, the truth is that Barack Obama actually cut oil and gas permits since he came into office. In fact he has the worst record on granting permits than any president in recent years.

The Institute for Energy Research

And, Fossil Fuel Production on Public Lands Is At 10 Year Low– The Energy Information Administration (EIA) released its report in June on, Sales of Fossil Fuels Produced on Federal and Indian Lands, FY 2003 Through FY 2012. The report shows that total fossil fuel production on federal lands is at a ten year low, natural gas production on federal lands is also at a ten year low, and oil production on federal land fell in fiscal years 2011 and 2012 ending two years of increase in fiscal years 2009 and 2010.

In his mind he did have something to do with oil production: He allowed it.

Praise be he, lord Øbamao.

When in fact he did everything he could to stifle it.

The Liar-in-Chief is pathetic.

That POS is a complete spotlight hog—no matter the size of the lens.

He tells the most outrageous lies & NO ONE in the Media calls him on it.

When the shooting war starts, the media will be targeted, also, IMO.

The “boom” is actually a response to the erosion of the US dollar when it comes to buying oil from foreign sources. This artificial escalation in the price quoted in dollars, when compared to the world price, makes domestically produced oil a better deal than importation. The exchange rates for dollars into other currencies makes the world price comparatively LOWER for many countries than here in the territory once known as “the United States of America”.

Even with all the restrictions put upon the extraction and transport of crude oil in the continental limits, the proportion of domestically produced oil is still rising. This is also due partly to the static or declining demand for crude in this country.

I think that is pretty much a given.

Indeed, Obama is like Chanticleer the rooster, who thinks his crowing makes the sun rise.
