And the law is very clear a 14 year old cannot give consent.

Hardly.

Planned Parenthood can abort a 14 year old's baby with no rape investigation.

A 14 year old can even have sex legally with someone "near" his/her age (that doesn't work for buying cigarettes or alcohol, 2 days shy "of age" you are still in full violation).

So what is the judge to do.

Damn any man that would tap his daughter to death?

Gosh, FRiend, I don’t know how to explain it better than that cartoon does.

Societal acceptance of “gay marriage” has accelerated societal acceptance of additional depravities.

The judge in this case has essentially forgiven this man’s sexual violation of a child.

Decent people derided Whoopi Goldberg for her “wasn’t rape-rape” view, but unfortunately turns out she was just ahead of the curve.

...but intended to keep non-violent offenders out of prison.

Huh!? Okay, there has to be a payoff somewhere.

When I saw his name was “Austin Clem” I just knew.

The picture at the link confirmed my suspicion.

I think the judge is correct in this, they were only 5 years apart in age and this gal is a pill.

Clem will bear the brunt of this, and I hope he learns a lesson.

This gal better wise up.
She is on record.
She accuses Clem of molesting his daughters?

BAH!

Planned Parenthood was busted repeatedly on tape coaching young girls to LIE about their adult partners.

You said that the law is clear on this matter. Not so.

Well my FRiend, teens have been screwing since the dawn of time.

I think this judge recognizes that it takes two to tango.
I think he let the gal off light and Clem will bear that burden, but she had better not push the issue.

I can see that she is a vindictive nasty thing, accusing him of raping his children with no proof.

Jeez

There is a reason I am celibate.

I expect there is more to this than we will ever know.

Anyone notice how the article stated ages?

Nowhere does it point out his age (19) at the time of the first episode when she was 14. It says, he *is* 25 and she *was* 14. The average numbnuts reader can’t do the math and sees 25 yo rapes 14 yo. This wording is not accidental, nor is it insignificant.

By deliberately making the age difference appear greater, the paper is doing a disservice to the truth (whatever it is in this case).

I’m not minimizing the potential offense here, but this piece is a sketchy and poorly written tabloid story. It refers to him in bold type as “the pervert”. With what little we know here, “pervert” is pushing it.

Note that a big deal is made about the safety of his 3 female children. Curiously, none of their ages are mentioned. Now there is a real leap. Idiot 19 yo male boinks 14 yo girl (whom we know nothing about at that time) and this magically translates into a 25 yo man wanting to sexually assault his own daughters who are probably under the age of 5?

All I am saying is Courtney is no angel.
She had better be careful with this statutory crap.
She is 20 now and making accusations.

Is she seriously bandying about the notion that because Clem boofed her when she was 14 and he was 18 or whatever, that ergo he is raping his 2 or 3 year old daughters?

Seriously?

Courtney is NO ANGEL

Before you flame me for my post #34, realize my comments are not about rape & underage sex, but this article, its deficiencies and prejudices as well as the lack of background information.

This is very poor “journalism”. Are we not allowed to point that out because of the nature of the story?

Thank you for seeing through the hype.

Still I am not excusing Clem.

“such pathetic BS.......typical behavior of some like you...blame the victim first!..”

Get your head out of your back side, this was a statutory rape case between a 19 and 14 year old. Legally she may not have given consent but you can bet this was consensual. The mans life has been destroyed by this, there is no need to fill the jails up with people that are no danger to anyone. Try to get a little perspective on life rather than start spouting feminists slogans like “blame the victim” which has been used to justify all sorts of injustices against men.
