Obama Proposal Worries Insurers and Regulators

President Obama’s effort to quiet a political uproar by suggesting on Thursday that consumers should be allowed to keep their current health plans met significant resistance from many insurers and state regulators, who said they had not been consulted in advance about the proposal, doubted it could work and feared it might seriously damage the new insurance marketplace.

After the president announced the proposed changes, insurance regulators participated in a heated conference call, according to one regulator, where many expressed deep unhappiness about the proposal.

Some on the call felt “the president kind of threw us under the bus today,” the regulator said on the condition of anonymity because the discussion was supposed to be private.

Shut up and join the others in the “treadmark club” and learn to “take one” for El Douche quietly.

Yup. I’ve been saying major cluster fluck since just before noon today.

Not being dramatic but some people will probably die because they are not going to have health insurance and the only place left for them will be the county hospitals... good luck there.

All of this mess right in time for the holidays. It should prove a memorable season.

I wandered over to the NYT to read this article and saw this headline: “Health Law Rollout’s Stumbles Draw Parallels to Bush’s Hurricane Response”

LOL

Well.. other than the fact that one disaster was natural and unavoidable, and the other was self-inflicted...

That... and about a hundred other dissimilarities.

Hope all these insurance executives learned a lesson here: You can’t dance with the devil and you can’t reason with an idiot.

“Well.. other than the fact that one disaster was natural and unavoidable, and the other was self-inflicted...”

Or in other words, one was responding to an extreme natural disaster, and the other was trying to clean up the intentional economic mess created by the President’s deliberate lie.

Still can’t line up new insurance because the asshat opened his big, fat asshat mouth today.

Pretty much a certainty - millions have been kicked off their plans and haven't been able to acquire "suitable replacements".

obama has called a meeting at the White Hut today with Insurance industry people.

This is where the official “bribe” gets delivered.

He will promise them Risk Corridor cash to cover his wretched ass. This will be illegal because those funds were to be used only with ACA plans, not canceled plans. Not to mention, it is a bribe.
