House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that President Barack Obama will offer a fix to Obamacare problems as soon as today.

“I think it can be done administratively. The president will offer a proposal today, is my understanding,” Pelosi said at the World Ideas Forum, hosted by The Atlantic.

She wants it done administratively not legislatively so it can be done “without an agenda.” Riiiiight. No one in this administration is operating with any sort of agenda. She really is pathological.

There are so many problems with Obamacare, that I could imagine that a core group of Democrats would vote to repeal the whole damn thing and start over.

Remember, it passed by a bare majority in the House, when Democrats were in control. Over 30 Democrats voted no on it at the time.

Even if you are liberal and in favor of government control of healthcare and all that, if you are reasonable and intellectually honest, wouldn’t you have to admit that this whole thing is a titanic law, with so many bad effects, that we should get rid of it and start over????

I'd applaud, if Obamacare is "fixed" in the same way that my dog is fixed.

But I don't think it will be.

“We have to pass the bill in order to find the fix to the bill.”

AND: We’re going to spend billions of your tax dollars to do it.

Administratively means by diktat (executive order) so it doesn’t have to pass the Congress. However, Obamacare, as the libs were want to tell us, is the law of the land. It can only be changed by Congress.

I’m really afraid that you’re right. Another freebie is going to be the only way for the Marxist dictator to pull his chestnuts out of the fire. It’s coming without the Congress and the people not having any say in the matter.

I’m betting that’s what the “fix” is - increased subsidies, and increased scope of subsidies to get the illusion that more people are signing on,

even though the only people signing on are those that are getting subsidies, not those that will be paying the subsidies.

If there are any Democrats remaining in the Party who understand and love the principles which made America the "land of the free and the home of the brave," as is so often sung in their presence, then they will rebel against the very idea that any President has the Constitutional authority to "administratively" change a law in order to save Democrats from his and their dishonest and fraudulent promises.

Further, Clinton, Landrieu, Feinstein, Hagan and all the other so-called "progressive" regressives who propose a "fix" in order to save political "seats" simply don't are not being honest themselves about the real problem though:

The problem is that the "fix" just involves more coercive intrusion on the rights of individuals, on intrusion into and distortion of the insurance marketplace, on the future quality and proliferation of health care providers, and the damaging impact that their own regressive and arrogant assumptions is having on real individual American citizens and their families.

Just who do the Clintons, the Obamas, the Landrieus, the Feinsteins and all "progressives"--no matter how good they believe their intentions are--believe they are? That great intellectual freedom fighter, Author of the Declaration of Independence, and former President may have, inadvertently, identified them in the following quotation:

"The mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately." —Thomas Jefferson

One other thought: lest the Democrats who laid this oppressive legislation on the nation by their votes now claim that they did it to "help" us and it is just "not working" as they intended, let them consider the words of C. S. Lewis about "moral busybodies" who use the coercive power of government to "do" their good:

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C. S. Lewis
