ObamaCare Breaks Obama's Middle Class Tax Pledge, Too
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 11/13/13 | IBD Staff

Taxes: Once upon a time, President Obama promised he wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class. Millions of those getting insurance cancellation notices are finding out how fraudulent that promise was, too.

Matthew Fleischer, a freelance writer in Los Angeles, recently learned ObamaCare will force him off a plan he likes, and a comparable policy will cost him nearly $800 more next year.

"Most young, middle-class Americans I know are happy that millions of previously uninsured people will receive free or heavily subsidized insurance under the Affordable Care Act," he wrote in a Los Angeles Times op-ed. "We just didn't realize that, unless we had health insurance at work, we'd be the ones paying for it."

Adam Weldzius, a nurse practitioner in Illinois, came to the same realization after finding that his premiums will go up nearly $3,000 a year. "I believe everybody should be able to have health insurance, but at the same time, I'm being penalized. And for what?"

Some people still believe in free lunches. Can these morons not see that if some get free or subsidized insurance, others will have to pay for it? (Rhetorical)

Idiot!

To quote Margaret Thatcher: "The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money."

This youg man hasn’t found out yet that he will probably get dumped off his employer policy, or he will pay much more for it if his employer complies with Obamacare and doesn’t dump him into the exchanges..

“’We just didn’t realize that, unless we had health insurance at work, we’d be the ones paying for it.’”

Don’t worry. That’ll be resolved next year. I was able to stave off DeathCare by the Kenyan anti-Christ for my small business for 11 more months by renewing a month early. But by late summer 2014, I’ll be getting my company’s cancellation notice, and I’ll either throw all my workers onto the exchange, or will have to get a DeathCare-compliant small group policy.

Either way, my employees will see the premiums that they pay currently, which range for $50 - $200 per month, depending on family configuration, accelerate to many, many hundreds of dollars per month, as I can’t afford to absorb the further increases we anticipate.

This will affect many tens of millions of folks who work for small businesses. Right before election day. It’ll make the current flap over individual policy cancellations look insignificant by comparison.

My only hope is that the silver lining to this dark cloud is that it leads to the utter destruction of DemoKKKrats in the House and Senate.

The people who enthusiastically supported Obamacare, only to find that they are now getting screwed, reminds me of the scene in "Goodfellas" were Sonny Bunz thought it would be a good idea to make Paulie a partner in his nightclub: "Now the guy's got Obama as a partner. But now the guy's gotta come up with Obama's money every month, no matter what. Your premiums tripled? F*** you, pay me. Oh, your deductible went through the roof? F*** you, pay me. Your policy got canceled? F*** you, pay me."

Matthew and Adam - Intelligent people knew this, and that’s why people all over the USA formed Tea Party groups to try to stop all the spending.

They still think that if the company pays, it’s no problem. Don’t they even realise that the company just passes it’s cost on to consumers? Of course they don’t. Just like most Congress Critters, they have no clue when it comes to economics.

They probably don’t have a clue how the Federal Reserve’s actions can help destroy people’s savings either.

What happened to the strategy two weeks ago of the Republicans stepping aside to let Obamacare fail?

Rush has been talking daily about how the Rinos and the rest of the spineless GOP are pissing in their pants worrying about being seen as bad. The difference this time though is if the GOP helps save Obamacare the primary anger will be shown against those Republicans running in 2014 coming from conservative voters.

I’ve learned in discussions with liberals is that unless you make the cost personally felt by them they won’t understand.

Goes right to a short skit around a phone call to Rush a few years ago. Lib calls and complains Rush is against health care for him. Rush says to him if you are worried, why not just ask your neighbors to pay your medical bills. Caller says they don’t want to pay his bills and Rush yelled into the phone, and I don’t either.

BTTT!

OBAMA: “I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

OBAMACARE: A tax that is raising taxes by thousands of dollars.

Message to Republicans in the US House: Get your hands off Obamacare, stop trying to fix it, LEAVE IT ALONE!!! It is a pure disaster for the Democrats so stop trying to bail them out. Stand back and let them wallow in it, turn on each other and make it even a bigger disaster.
