On Monday evening, former CBS News insider Bernie Goldberg appeared on The OReilly Factor to blame the tea party for a potential 2016 presidential loss. As far as the tea partiers are concerned, anybody to the left of Ted Cruz is a RINO, Goldberg lamented. But you know what? The real RINOs are the real people in the tea party and on the hard right, because they have made it clear over and over again that their allegiance is not to the Republican party but to their particular brand of conservatism, so theyre the RINOs.

..but he and his guests have no reservations calling Tea Party Patriots every name in the book.....no reservations at all.
Real brave, aren't they.
Blowhard O’Blowhard is a Liberal DemocRAT. Goldberg is another Dick Morris.
And what is wrong with that? I'm a conservatie first and will always vote for the conservative over the liberal - regardless of what party label the liberal is wearing.
yep. me too. turned to some program abt how things made.
i last abt 3 minutes each night then i have to chg channel.
It's about the overall direction and theme of the party.
It's a statist party now. We conservatives who seek to shrink the size and influence of the Federal Government are on the outside looking in. The party no longer represents us and most of us feel little allegiance towards it anymore.
This is like a troubled marriage. It will require honesty on both sides.
I believe we need to talk to the establishment in a measured and logical fashion and do our best to dispell the image that has been, unfairly, painted of us as wild eyed radicals.
AD hominen attacks and over the top threats work against us. We need to reason together. The forces against us are united and disciplined (and I'm not talking about the RINOs).
I pray, my brethern, that we can come together in time to stop the destruction of our republic.
That is why we are no longer registered as Republicans. We have practically nothing in common with Rove, McCain, and Romney.
Let’s see the Republican Party win without TEA Party conservatives who are ignored when they clamor for limited government.
So where’s the outrage over the “hard left” on the other side?
Where was the outrage over “Rev” Wright, Calypso Louis and Bill Ayers? Legit birth certificate and sealed records?
Yet we are the radicals, the alienators, the focus.
Why on God’s Green Earth do we let the other side define the debate? They say the most outrageous things, cause by far the most damage, yet we wait until TSHTF before the outrage?
How many of us know ObamaCare was a disaster from the get-go? The Tea Party knew it, other concerned citizens knew it . .. where was the deluge of predictions of doom which we should have known would happen? That socialized medicine has failed everywhere it’s tried?
Ever since Watergate our side has let itself be silenced. “Affirmative action” and “diversity”? Naw, no racism there. PC? Yeah, no infringement of free speech there. “Reach across the aisle”? Sure, coz we know they will “reach back” and we can all live happily ever after, right?
I once heard a caller on Rush say “but they are better streetfighters than us” Those words I’ve never forgotten. They often go way past a sense of normalcy, decency, but we can’t just passively sit back and always try to be nice guys and girls. Sometimes you just have to take the gloves off.
Yep - always thought he was a guy who believed in the Constitution.
Guess I was wrong.
Time for Bernie to retire to God’s waiting room.
Bernie, in your world, the RINOs are the people who actually want to abide by the Republican Party Campaign Platform? Makes sense.
What is he? 5? His argument boils down to “I’m rubber you’re glue”.
He may be correct. I feel less and less a member of the Republican party every day
Sort of like the establishment not supporting Tea Party candidates. They sure like to lecture about uniting as long as they don’t have to.
Pray America wakes up
“The real RINOs are the real people in the tea party and on the hard right, because they have made it clear over and over again that their allegiance is not to the Republican party but to their particular brand of conservatism, so theyre the RINOs.”
Hmmm,, ok, I guess he’s correct. I am indeed more loyal to conservatism than I am to the republican party. Does he suggest I should swear fealty to the republican party first, then to conservative philosophy second?
There are a lot of us wanting to make a move and just waiting for somewhere to go.
Using condescension towards someone and being patronizing does not win many arguments. Identifying me as a RHINO will not work because, as of now, I am no longer a REPUBLICAN.
I left the Democratic party back in the late 60’s because they left me and now the same is happening to the Republican party. I will base my voting on individual candidates from now on or not vote if no one deserves my vote.
Goldberg’s a smart guy but he’s wrong on this one.
I saw that interview and puked in my mouth a bit. Actually I wanted to punch the flat screen. I’m so sick of ‘conservative’ know-it-all’ pundits like Goldberg.
I would love for him to answer one simple question, “name ONE extreme view held by Cruz”???? It’s a real simple question Bernie. But of course O’Reily (sp?don’t care), would have had to ask him that and he’s just as pathetic.
