The one that could end the Israeli/Palestinian crisis and 90% of the conflicts around the world will most likely never happen, an Islamic Reformation. Such a movement would entail a renouncement of the political, imperialist dogma which up to this point has characterized Islam from the outset. It would also necessitate purging the hectoring and codified hatred of Jews and others so abundant within Islamic scriptures. In addition, Muslims would have to renounce the messianic, forced proselytization and conversion of the Kafir (“infidels” not wishing to convert to Islam). Anything short of this guarantees conflict not only between Israel and the Palestinians but between Islam and nations and individuals throughout the world that wish to maintain their own customs and way of life.

On the probability continuum, the needle is lesser for this outcome than nuclear correction of jihadist ambition. It is also lower than the probability of nuclear victory of that ambition. The question thus becomes, whether Islam or the West will conquer. Disparate capacity for cultural force and consistent expression of cultural intent is rather clear, and unfavorable to the West.

I mentioned on FR years ago I gave up on the dumb Jews in Israel because they seemed to think they can talk their way into a peaceful solution with Muslims. The Jews there seemed to lack a fundamental understanding of Islam. (Yes I know we Americans are in that position now.)

It looks like as Iran gets closer to the atomic bomb, attitudes in Israel might be changing. I hope so.

You can't expect fundamental Muslims to turn their backs on GOD to accommodate Infidels. The penalty for doing that would be hell in the next life.-Tom
