Am I the only one who hopes Rick Perry can reinvent himself as a viable candidate next time around? He had such potential.

What to watch? What to watch! All the shows have such interesting guests today!!!

Except for Perry, I don’t care to hear a word that any of the others have to say.

I don’t willingly let people lie to me.

Today’s one of those days where I’m glad I don’t watch TV.

I’ll eagerly follow this thread. FR filters are the best!

Fat bastard is everywhere. Media picking another GOP nominee, and then after convention they will devour his carcass.

The MSM is orgasmic over Christie, and they'll ask the following in their subtle and sneaky ways:

"Please, tell us again, governor, how the Tea Party will destroy the GOP and how they'll never, ever, win an election against Hillary."

"Isn't Ted Cruz a total wacko who only wants to obstruct the president and prevent his glorious transformation of America?"

sickening

Poor linda. She picked up another opponent (the fourth) this week. The primary next spring will be fun. The more the merrier. Anything to hold linda below 50%.

MTP

Good for Christie. He would not let Steffie corner him into some ‘national’ gotcha issues.

Only one member of what Greg Gutfeld called "The Periodic Table Of Idiots" during the week. Must be very lonely to be the only representative of such a fine group.

Steffie is trying hard to get Christie to say something negative about other Pubbies. Steffie would LUV to help create dissension within the ranks of the GOP.

FACE THE NATION (CBS): Leon Panetta, former defense secretary and CIA director

Good, they can ask if he got the order at 5pm or “immediately” when the phone call came in at 3:42pm?

The TOC agent called Washington at the 'top of the incident', 342pm. At 5pm the President is already aware of the attack from 'when we received that phone call', just updated on the fire. Panetta's 'Soon after the initial reports' is 1 hour 20 minutes later, which doesn't jive with "when we received that phone call, I immediately made sure"...Will FACE THE NATION (CBS) fail on clarifying this?

Background;

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-57544719/timeline-how-benghazi-attack-probe-unfolded/

9:40 p.m. (3:40 p.m. ET): Gunfire and an explosion are heard. A TOC agent sees dozens of armed people over security camera flowing through a pedestrian gate at the compound’s main entrance. It is not clear how the gate was opened.

The agent hits the alarm and alerts the CIA security team in the nearby annex and the Libyan 17th of February Brigade, one of several powerful militias serving as a de facto security presence in Benghazi. The embassy in Tripoli and the State Dept. command center were also alerted.

11 p.m. (5 p.m. ET): Just ahead of the weekly meeting with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Chairman of Joint Chiefs Martin Dempsey, White House National Security Advisor Tom Donilon tells President Obama of the attack and the fire at the main villa. The president and those officials discuss possible responses to the situation.

http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/Panetta-Benghazi-Testimony20130207.pdf

Soon after the initial reports about the attack on Benghazi, General Dempsey and I met with President Obama and he ordered all available DoD assets to respond to the attack in Libya and to protect U.S. personnel and interests in the region.

TRANSCRIPT: Presidential debate on foreign policy at Lynn University
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/22/transcript-presidential-debate-on-foreign-policy-at-lynn-university/

“Now with respect to Libya, as I indicated in the last debate, when we received that phone call, I immediately made sure that, number one, that we did everything we could to secure those Americans who were still in harm’s way;”

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Does John Kerry agree with his boss?

“I do believe that there is a basis for a resolution [because] Iran’s Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons,” Obama told reporters.

Here’s more of that health care insurance reform bill apology;
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2013/11/obama-tells-americans-losing-coverage-im-sorry/

“I regret very much that what we intended to do, which is to make sure that everybody is moving into better plans because they want them, as opposed to because they’re forced into it.”

Incoherent, just like the economic policies, foreign policy,...being forced into a 'better' policy? Who, that is paying for it, has even been offered a better policy value?

Did the Stephnopholis reporter just say the Iranian Supreme leader was on twitter, naturally? That’s what I thought I heard...

FACE THE NATION (CBS): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
[what I heard as fast as I can type]

sanctions have been very very effective

Iran gets to keep it’s nuclear capabilities

metallurgy, making of the bomb is not even in the deal

reverse the sanctions

What is the future, the pressure is going to be let off, it’s over, a scramble who gets to ease their sanctions with Iran first

[More from Bob’s interview with Secretary Panetta later in the broadcast(I’m sure Schrieffer is in the tank)]
