While there is a tremendous potential for the individual who is aware of genetic factors to improve their health care, there is even greater potential for abuse.

Not just the elimination of entire groups from the gene pool, not just the potential for harvesting the organs of selected individuals by force, but the entire Brave New World approach to the population as well.

Privacy should be the primary concern, failure to shield it actionable or even a criminal offense without the informed consent of the individual that it be disclosed.

If eating my peas and beets might reduce my risk of a future heart attack by 10%, would I do it? Probably not, I prefer to live life on the edge......besides, DNA testing can't estimate the likelihood of getting shot by a jealous husband.

Pass the chips please.

I guarantee you they have a deal with the FBI to sell your DNA profile for inclusion in CODIS.

The only way they can do it for $99 is if the FBI is paying them for your DNA profile so they can add it to CODIS.
