They did send a guru for the “tech surge”

Because as anyone acquainted with massive buggy software projects knows....everybody needs a few big ego generals to spur on the troops...

I was reading a magazine at the doc's office yesterday, about that "23 and Me" outfit that advertises DNA testing.....turns out, it's run by the wife of Sergey Brin (Google cofounder), and their goal is to become the "Google of the genome world" and pass along their data to researchers and pharma.

These people are all evil.

I haven’t gotten a paycheck in 6 years. I’m not calling a plumber any time soon.

” - - but how did Disney know?”

They apparently have the ability to hack into anything. About 4 years ago while setting up a face book account I was asked if they could have access to my email address book for the purpose of helping me establish a friends list. I refused that request.

Nonetheless, once my account was established everyone I had ever sent a email to was suggested as being my friend, with my most frequent contacts at the head of their list.

We have no privacy in America, with the ACA data mining, Google doing it, NSA doing it along with every other XYZ government outfit, not to mention drones and spy cams all over the place. And let’s not forget leaders of friendly nations being spied on.

The Gestapo and KGB of yesteryear were choir boys compared to what’s going on today.

Dubious.... they can monitor every world leader’s cell phone, but can’t make a website work....

These ploys must work, I guess. But personally, I make it a point to never ever buy any product or service that is advertised to me in an unsolicited fashion. If I get an unsolicited email, that company is banned forever. Any popup ad is summarily in the permanently banned queue, and any other less intrusive ads are generally ignored. If I need or want something, I will do my own search, and research, thank you very much.

My dumbphone is older than yours an old Nokia, before flip phones. Good enough for my needs.

Google, Apple and Micro$oft are enemies of your privacy and your freedom.

Do not participate in their elaborate phishing expeditions masquerading as software.

“everyone I had ever sent a email to was suggested as being my friend, with my most frequent contacts at the head of their list.”

Doesn’t that actually make sense?

I am not on Facebook.

The question is, why would you sign up for a service and then complain about the service doing what it does?

Nah—there are no kids around where we live—it’s on a steep hill.

I actually miss having kids around—we have 5, and now 11 grandkids, although they don’t live very close.

If you don’t mind being data-mined, then it’s not evil.....I do mind, so I’m calling the Google-set evil.
