I’ve read your warnings and admittedly, they are hard to get my head around. I am not doubting you or making light of your warnings. The problem is in my head, NOT your warnings. :)
One day I hope circumstances are such that you could share what you know to be true. But for now, know I take you at your word because of who you are and what you have overcome.
We all have heroes and you are one of mine.
Ah, ha! Now I understand. That clears up a few lingering questions for me.

This book is full of heros. I think the politicians of the time were just as bad, maybe worse, but we had heros then, and the reporters loved them, (and hated them esp Lindbergh and Rickenbacker when they spoke out against the war w/ Germany in the beginning).
We have no one, except the fake heros of hollywood and the Snowden’s.
That’s why Ted Cruz is such a departure. He would have fit in perfectly in the 1920s, 30s and 40s.

Thanks for the ping. I wonder why General Petraeus did this.
He is intelligent, but not a great general except that he can defend whatever he is TALKING about, like the current ROE he wrote.
