Jimmy Carter's grandson, Jason Carter, will run for governor of Georgia. The younger Carter is currently a state senator.

"Democratic state Sen. Jason Carter will challenge Gov. Nathan Deal next year in a move that catapults the gubernatorial contest into the national spotlight and tests whether Georgia’s changing demographics can loosen the Republican Party’s 12-year grip on the state’s highest office," reports the Atlanta Journal-Constiution's Greg Bluestein.

I can see a future death match between him and Chelsea Clinton-Mezvinsky someday for the Dem POTUS nomination.

I had almost completely forgotten about Jimmy the C, and his advisor daughter.

. . . tests whether Georgia’s changing demographics can loosen the Republican Party’s 12-year grip on the state’s highest office . . .

Two ways to do that:

  1. Import more illegal aliens.
  2. Develop more Democrats like Zell Miller.

Which do you think the RAT party is more likely to try?

Hope he doesn’t marry a Kennedy.

What do we need to do to keep these idiots out of office?

There should be some sort of limit of how long families can mooch off the taxpayer, for both the welfare class and political class. Both are parasites, sucking the life out of the country.

Isn’t that the clown that took the undercover video of Romney during his 47% Fundraising speech?

If they had even the slightest thought that they could win, they’d have Atlanta’s Mayor Kasim Reed running..

.....whether Georgia’s changing demographics can loosen the Republican Party’s 12-year grip on the state’s highest office

You mean the 100 year grip that Democrats had on it before? There is NOTHING worthwhile about any CARTER, period. He was a lousy governor that took a $200 million surplus and turned it into large debt. And, then went on to show just how inept things have to get before someone real comes along.

I swear with all the hyped up media nostalgia of the good ole Democrat days with Sam Nunn's daughter and now this third generational turd from the Carter Klan, you'd think all us rednecks down here are "jess pinin' for some good ole Democrat gubnance."

Give me a break.

Tain’t likely he will marry a Kennedy; they appear to despise each other. One of the few things I credit Teddy with is that he undercut Carter’s reelection campaign in 1980 which employed a lot of dirty tricks against him in the Demo primaries, including some guy parading by his speech in a scuba suit.

Oh....Reed will run. But he will find out without his massive klan of black entitlement voters in Atlanta (and Macon, etc.) pickin’s are pretty slim. Too many voters outside Atlanta that have some sense.

Is this kid the doofus whose only claim to fame to clam is that he surfed YouTube for 4000 consecutive hours and managed to fine that clip of Mitt Romney’s “47%” comments?

I remember Ted's campaign to unseat Jimmah...
Ted was visiting with some farmers at a grain elevator in Iowa when he rhetorically asked, “How's the service out here on the Wabash...?”

This left most of the farmers puzzled since it had been more than 100 years since the Wabash had served anywhere in Iowa.

Turned out someone in Ted's advance party had looked up Iowa in a library somewhere and picked up a very dated railroad reference.

Hola, como esta? Not a mtn. democrat (who incidentally voted just like Robert Byrd) who brings home the bacon to “his” people. No we gonna go LA on the Peach State. The coke is already flowing— powder, peruvian marching.

Take leaders who were incompetent to begin with and add generations of inbreeding. What could go wrong?
