He's at a -9.5 spread. Yes, some here don't see the importance of these kind of polls. But "The Shutdown" has become irrelevant, and further intrusive legislation hopefully cannot occur before the end of the year.

The truth is probably worse.

IMO he cost himself at last 5 pts. when he tried to qualify his “you can keep your plan” line while he’s on tape saying “period!” 29 times.

"The Shutdown" has become irrelevant, and further intrusive legislation hopefully cannot occur before the end of the year. I don't see ANY "intrusive legislation" happening in the foreseeable future. The mid-terms are close, and nobody running wants to be rocking any boats, and the '16 presidential campaign gets going in earnest almost directly afterward, and seldom does controversial legislation get introduced during those circuses.

Obama’s approval rate is falling almost as fast as the RNC’s approval rate.

What difference does it make? /s

According Michael Barone, the voters in northern Virginia, next to DC, only blamed the shutdown on the GOP by a +2 margin over Obama. I suspect the national polling on the 15% shutdown is close to this.
Now the GOP attempt looks to be an attempt to avoid the mess the country is now experiencing.
