Ahh, doesn't that feel better? It wasn't a lie, it was a poor choice of words, and besides it is Republicans who are really mucking everything up, what with their questions and their directly quoting people all the time.
The article goes into detail about why we're all better off being misspoken to anyway.
Indeed, in all the furor, people forget how terrible many of the soon-to-be-abandoned policies were. Some had deductibles as high as $10,000 or $25,000 and required large co-pays after that, and some didnt cover hospital care.
It's a furor! You silly Americans with your furors. You know, all this talk about furors reminds me of another New York Times article about misspeaking*:
And it's not just a furor, says the Times, it's a totally uncalled for hooplah:

“I did not have phone sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinski. I misspoke.” - Bill Clinton
Also, don’t miss the nazi edition easter egg at the end.
“It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” - Bill Clinton
Like my tag line says.
Barry doesn’t have a truth problem, he simply has a punctuation problem. Instead if saying “period” he really meant “asterisk”. Then he could have added the nuanced footnote. What’s wrong with you people?
Uttering the first word from 10 random pages of any book on the NYT best sellers list would form a more truthful statement than anything that Obama would say.

No, wait... I'm afraid that press release is completely totaled, no way to salvage it.
Indeed, in all the furor, people forget how terrible many of the soon-to-be-abandoned vehicles were. Some vehicles (like Lamborghnis) had down-payments as high as $10,000 or $25,000 and required large payments after that, and some didnt have a back seat at all (small pick-up trucks, coupes, etc)...
so it's a GOOD thing that the government made all non-compliant vehicles illegal (even after promising that car owners could keep their old cars if they wanted), and forced all American to buy new vehicles, manufactured and designed by Government Motors, so that the needs of Americans that the government says we should want and need are what we have... no matter what we actually want and need...
And the price for these new vehicles will be far higher than the vehicles most Americans were driving before, with very large down-payments... and the gas mileage will not be as good as the average vehicle before this wonderful new program... and prices for parts and maintenance will go up across the board... and many dealer and repair shops will go out of business thereby leaving fewer service providers just as the demand for services skyrockets...
and everyone will want these new vehicles because they are so perfect for everyone's government-declared needs... but even so, any who might refuse to want to buy the new GM styles will be forced to pay huge tax penalties... and those who cannot afford the highly inefficient new vehicles will be given them for free... and anyone who voted for the program will be exempted from any and all of these requirements.
And the place that you must go to, to purchase the new vehicles does not have a working door or electricity, nor will these issues be fixed anytime soon... but the penalties for failing to buy one soon will not be removed...
So clearly, this is a GOOD program! Dear Leader wishes you all a nice day.
The Obamafuhrer has spoken. Nothing the Obamafuhrer says is ever a lie, because he is the Obamafuhrer. /s
Is he saying he misused his tongue???
The prophesy of Joe Wilson.
If you would pay attention to Valarie Jarret who said about the messiah, he can think and solve difficult problems on many levels simultaniously you would understand why people are not understanding what he said from the begining.........dumba##es..... sarc
I worked in a financial setting with similar people. Invariably, they had "brilliant" solutions which unfortunately did not align with the situation. That is to say, they completely misunderstood the facts and concocted solutions that were useless. But they were "brilliant".
He ****ing LIED!
I always preferred the line in the Blues Brothers.
Elwood to Jake: “I didn’t lie to you, I just took the liberty of bullshitting you.”
That’s good.
