Liberty News ^ | 11/4/13 | Eric Odom

Northeastern Illinois needs to be educated on its political heroes. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, not a Democrat. But the Jacob Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies apparently would prefer to just make up their own version.

...the Jacob Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies... snicker...

Obviously, the Jacob Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies is working diligently to make sure black people stay stupid.

And, people often don’t realize that “Negro” voters, as this ethnic group of people was then known as, voted heavily Republican prior to the 1930s, in places where they were permitted to vote.

An inconvenient truth of history is that places with heavy Democrat concentrations, such as the old South, were the places that used literacy tests, poll taxes, and other barriers to keep Negro voters from voting.

They don’t have President so maybe it is some rapper or community organizer. I hear Illinois have a few of them.

No, doncha see, some republicans like Lincoln were really democrats at heart, some democrats like in the old south were really republicans at heart.

As a general rule, people that were good and generous were democrats and people that were mean and stingy were republicans. /s

I’ve actually had liberals argue with me that the Dred Scott decision was handed down by a Republican Supreme Court and that Alabama Governor George Wallace was a Republican. I mean they really believed it, and there was nothing I could do or say to convince them otherwise. Their minds simply were not receptive to ‘truth’. They had chosen ‘deception’ instead.

Ah, Abraham Lincoln, now the Democrat candidate for president in 1860. I guess that means Jeff Davis was a Republican.

“The plaque looks like it’s been up awhile.”

It does. I wonder if it’s possible the creators of this plaque meant “democrat” as in proponent of democracy rather “Democrat” as in the modern party.

It’s so outlandishly wrong there must be a mistake somewhere.

EIU - that’s where my liberal sister met her liberal husband, and he turned her into a liberal, and they got all their liberal advanced degrees. I would bet that they actually believe that Lincoln was a democrat at EIU.

Take away their accreditation to teach politics and history. They charge people to go to this school?

It is true. There is a giant sized mural of President Bill Clinton in the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, IL. The man has his own library.

When asked why Clinton’s likeness was in the Lincoln Museum, officials shrugged and said, “He was a great President.”
