President Obama has been this generation's Teflon president. Whether it's the poorly handled Benghazi attack and cover-up, NSA's information gathering, or the disastrous rollout of the Affordable Care Act, the blame has always rolled off the President's back.
Even when the majority of Americans polled didn't want Obamacare and remain concerned about Washington's deficit spending, when Republicans tried to use the budget and debt fight to derail the Affordable Care Act, it was the GOP who received most of the blame for Washington's partial shutdown and debt-limit standoff.
But with the mainline media coverage, it's amazing that citizens didn't hold the GOP 100% responsible. The Media Research Center found "of the 124 stories broadcast on the ABC, NBC and CBS nightly newscasts about the shutdown from Oct. 1 through Oct. 15,...41 blamed Republicans or conservatives for the impasse, 17 blamed both sides and none specifically blamed Democrats. In the two weeks leading up to the shutdown, the same networks ran 21 stories blaming Republicans, four blaming both sides and none blaming Democrats."
But with the disastrous rollout of the ACA website, even the mainline media has begun to find leaks in Obama's Titanic transformation. NBC News documented evidence that the White House knew that 5% of Americans would lose sub-standard coverage. CBS News 60 Minutes did a tell-all program about the Benghazi debacle and cover-up. The President's poll numbers are dropping.
Nancy Pelosi was prophetic, "We have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it..." The same could be said of Barack Obama Presidency--you have to elect him to find out what his fundamental transformation really means. America is now finding out. In response to the ACA rollout problems, our Titanic Captain Obama is now denying responsibility and clarifying what his "promises" really meant.
The expensive website fiasco is just the visible iceberg. What's coming could sink the ship of state. Obamacare creates a massive new bureaucracy, future doctor shortages, delayed access, and the expected cancellation of 66 percent of small employer and 45 percent of large employer previously "grandfathered" plans. While attacking Republicans for trying to change his "settled" law, he has no trouble delaying some requirements and establishing selective waivers by executive order.
The President's promise that "you can keep your plan and your doctor" was knowingly untrue. Have you or your neighbors received cancellation letters? Are you paying more with a higher deductible for a plan you don't want? Is your personal information safe?
Secretary Sebelius admitted that the ACA website did not have the suggested security testing to keep your private information safe. She testified that you can trust their temporary security fixes. But she also promised a flawless October 1st rollout!
The IRS has overpaid Earned Income Tax Credit filers by some $130 billion dollars over the last decade? They are refusing to aggressively prosecute the fraud for fear of discouraging legitimately qualified Americans from filing for EITC. If the IRS does the same with Obamacare tax credits, the fraud could easily cost hundreds of billions of dollars annually. That's more debt future generations will have to pay.
Obama was elected promising to return America's standing in the world. But the evidence tells a different story--NSA's phone tapping of world leaders, the red line in Syria that was erased leaving our allies France and Saudi Arabia fuming, the Benghazi cover-up, and Russia's Putin for the first time topping Forbes' list of "The World's Most Powerful People."
Now, President Obama wants a comprehensive immigration law. A bipartisan solution is needed, but this President can't be trusted. He says whatever is necessary to get elected and to get comprehensive legislation passed. Then he selectively does what he wants while denying knowledge of problems, cover-ups or lies. If the media finally covers this President as ruthlessly as they did President Bush, the November mid-term election will be a stunning rejection of Obama's "transformation." May it be so.
It’s a truism but bears repeating.
Democrats have to run against Republicans.
Republicans have to run against Democrats and the media.
The media has covered for this president more than any previous Democrat president.
Even with the media propaganda, media help in debates, etc. Obama was re-elected with only 51% of the popular vote. There is a strong base of opposition in this country to this president and his policies and liberal “solutions” to issues such as healthcare.
Yeah, right ....
Obama DOESN’T CARE. Obama isn’t really an American at heart. Obama doesn’t like most Americans. Obama is set for life, and will be insulated from whatever disasters come as a result of his reign. Oh, and Obama won’t be re-elected. But Hillary will continue his task of dismantling American power.

Obama already has a second term. Why does anyone imagine, even for a moment, he cares about popularity?
He has a mission to “fundamentally transform” the USA into a third-world country. He doesn’t have to worry about impeachment (the ‘Pubbies don’t have the guts) and there is no reason to even care about popularity.
This government has computer power to spy on every person on the planet but can’t build a healthcare insurance website.
This has been a recurring theme for many years:
If the republicans do something bad, the media blames the republicans.
If the democrats get caught doing something wrong, the media blames politicians in general.
“Republicans have to run against Democrats and the media.”
AND the NEA!
THAT deck has been stacked for a LONG time!
Sadly, that will not happen through the major media--even that associated with the GOP-E!
Fortunately, as in the days of America's founding, there are other and more effective means of circulating the ideas of freedom, and the internet has facilitated to all who can think, and click a mouse.
After decades of apathy and lack of dedication to the ideas of liberty, millions of Americans may come to see that such blatant, abusive arrogance of power as is evidenced by this President and his enablers was necessary to turn America back to her foundations in freedom.
For our neglect of protecting and demanding that those ideas be taught in our schools, generations will be paying the price for our inattention to the ideas underlying our Declaration of Independence and Constitution, but the current abuses may be the instrument for turning the nation back from the brink of disaster.
Thomas Jefferson:
"We have the greatest opportunity the world has ever seen, as long as we remain honest -- which will be as long as we can keep the attention of our people alive. If they once become inattentive to public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors would all become wolves."
Jefferson and the other Founders believed that teaching the ideas of liberty to upcoming generations was essential to preparing them for being attentive guardians of their freedom. The same ideology which rules us today is the one that removed the teaching of the founding ideas from the curriculum of the schools: thus, an "inattentive" voter base.
He has to care about popularity for one reason:
It’s called a mid term election
.
It doesn’t help when Republicans also run against Conservatives too...
Jimmy Carter was incompetent as president, but he was a patriot, a former naval officer, and had some other “redeeming social value”, if you will. Unlike someone such as 0bama.
The war inside the GOP is what it is .but off topic. And no, Obama isn’t running, but if you think his popularity isn’t important for the Dems in 2014, then you don’t understand the Dem voting base. His popularity was in a dip in 2010 and it was major factor.
Carter a patriot? Methinks not, not by the time he was Prez.
1. It increases government control over people's lives.
2. It lowers the life expectancy of Americans (by the "Death Panels" denying life-saving surgeries or medicines to the over-65 population) thus helping keep Social Security solvent a little longer.
