WHAT???
Shameless! I bet he heard a nameless Republican tell Obama that he couldn’t stand to look at the ONE. Democrats old and new are all alike.
The keyword there is expired, since it may or may not list his current residence. If that were allowed, he could go to several precincts and vote more than once, which is what the dims like to do to win elections.
He said he was denied but apparently he was not, he was just put on the proper path to obtain a proper ID and was registered. He lies.
Long story. jim Wright didn’t want Southwest flying out of Dallas Love Field all over the country since he was a big supporter of the DFW airport. They were taking traffic away from the nearest airport to his hometown.
So he got an amendment to some bill rammed through which prevented SW Airlines from flying non-stop from Dallas to anywhere out of the state. If you wanted to fly to Las Vegas you had to fly to El Paso or Houston or Amarillo and change planes or something weird like that.
That little bump in the road put there by a legislator as a personal perk or earmark stood for years until it finally was cancelled by a Court case.
As well it should have been.
Took about 30 years to get it done.
“Are criminals allowed to vote in Texas?”
If they are in jail but not convicted they may vote by mail.
When they have served their time and released, they can request to have their voting right restored and they can vote.
In a just world it would have been 30 days.
It’s impossible to believe he could not find one of the very minimal proofs required to acquire identification, and equally difficult to believe he wasn’t already registered.

Apparently he was registered but needed a legal ID. The drivers license he had
was expired so it wasn’t valid. He went down to the DPS License Office to get
a legal non driving ID from them. They needed verification of some sort which he
provided with birth certificate. Nothing strange going on except maybe promoting
this for publicity.
